Bethany Stacy

I'm a wedding, lifestyle, and portrait photographer servicing Louisville and Lexington, KY. I love love and I love capturing it more than anything. (Except for dogs. There's nothing on the planet I love more than dogs!) When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me curled up somewhere watching Parks and Recreation (again), or on a plane for a spontaneous trip. Traveling keeps my heart happy, so if you're looking for a photographer who is willing to travel for elopements, weddings, or engagements, I am your girl!

I want to be upfront and say that my photos are not always perfect. As a more documentary-style photographer, I value authenticity over superficial perfection and focus on preserving emotions so that you can relive them over and over again through my photographs. I’m first and foremost a storyteller, and I do not take my job of telling YOUR story back to you lightly!

    Bethany was a joy to work with! She has a special ability to capture your emotions in a photo. My husband and I don't like being in front of the camera, but made it so much fun and comfortable. She manages to catch moments you miss, like your groomsmen goofing off to the side or small moments with your significant other. She will capture what you want and so much more. The pictures are stunning and we couldn't be happier!

    I accidentally stumbled upon Bethany on Zola while searching around for a photographer, and she turned out to be a hidden gem. My husband and I spent so many hours comparing photographers and we just kept coming back to her. We set up a phone call and then an in person meeting, we realized that we hesitated for no reason. She is THE BEST and is so easy to have a conversation with, we love her professionalism and all of the values that she stands for. We left each conversation with her feeling good and confident. She was kind and helpful on our wedding day and worked well with our family and other vendors. She made us feel so comfortable. We were absolutely blown away when we were able to see our photos. Our pictures turned out INCREDIBLE. Bethany continues to communicate well and even became a friend through the process and we are so grateful. Do not hesitate, you’ll definitely want to give her 5 stars too!

    I can't say enough good things! We're not a couple who takes a ton of photos of ourselves, but she was able to help us get comfortable in front of the camera for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. She captured every important moment at our wedding including some incredible candids. I would highly recommend Bethany Stacy Photography (and have already told everyone I know who is engaged) because she not only is a great photographer but she is such a people person it's hard not to have a good time!
