My name is Alaura, and I am a Chicago-based photographer with a love of great art, true stories, and old-school glamour. I believe in romanticizing everyday life for the joy of it. For me, that means fine teacups on a Wednesday, bouquets for no reason, and a home full of antiques. This also translates to my photography style!

I blend fine art and photojournalism to capture raw emotions and little moments with beautiful, timeless imagery. I want your overall experience to be just as fun as the final photo delivery, so I emphasize organization, preparation, and a friendly approach.     Alaura was so easy to work with from day one. She is extremely responsive and understood our vision. When we got the final photos back we were so excited because they captured everything we wanted and more. She was also very organized and ready to go on the day of the wedding!     Working with Alaura was nothing short of perfect! Our pictures turned out better than we could have ever hoped for.     Wow! Truly can't say enough great things about working with Alaura for our wedding. Alaura did our engagement and wedding, along with my boudoir shoot and she absolutely killed it! We are obsessed with her super romanticized style and she totally captured our moody wedding vibes. She was amazing to work with and always made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera and did a great job coaching us in poses. 10/10 would recommend Alaura for all your wedding photo needs! :)

    Alaura was the BEST photographer we could have asked for! We needed someone who was willing to photograph our somewhat unique one-year wedding anniversary Whirlyball party, as we wanted action shots and portraits with friends. She helped organize our schedule to get the best possible shots outside and inside the event space and we couldn't be happier with the final results! Highly recommend her for any event you're hosting!
