My name is Ashton. It’s lovely to have you here. I’m South Dakota-born but have spent the majority of my adulthood working as a creative based out of Amsterdam, NL, so I feel a bit like the city raised me. (For reference, I consider a three-mile walk for a cup of coffee a hike.) That said, I’m a fool for beautiful things whether they’re found on city streets or among the cornfields. I regularly swoon over color palettes, light and shadows, and intentional design.

I love contributing where I can. I believe it’s the artist's duty to pay close attention to the beautiful things in life and draw them out in a way they can be remembered. Taking up space in the world as a photographer allows me to do that in a really sweet way: alongside people. I’m quite fond of the process of knowing people - although there’s endless beauty in life, I believe people are at the forefront and it’s my hope that that shows both in my work and life. I believe humanity is a collective of storytellers and I believe your story is worth being told in an intimate, unique, and personal to YOU way.
