Rie is a NYC/Long Island based makeup artist/hair stylist for Beauty, Fashion, Portrait Photography, and Weddings. ​ All the makeup products in Rie's kit are cruelty free. Rie's style is "Natural" and "Feel like yourself but better" makeup look!

Rie has always been really cautious about health and sanitation when applying makeup on clients and she is proudly certified by multiple disinfection and sanitation organizations. All her clients can be assured that they are safe and in good hands!! ​ Rie used to be a professional ballet dancer and has performed with companies in NYC and Canada. Rie enjoys being in nature, photography, and loves taking care of her many house plants. ​Rie also speaks fluent Japanese.

    I hired Rie for my October 2024 wedding and a bridal HMU trial and it was the absolute best experience. For the trial, Rie was flexible and patient when it came to trying different styles which I really appreciated and, on the day-of, Rie and Ayumi really helped make my morning the best part of my day. They were calm and professional and I could tell that they were listening to everyone's feedback and preferences. My mom and aunt both don't wear makeup often due to a skin condition that causes skin discoloration and sensitivities so one of my biggest concerns was making sure that they felt comfortable and Rie and Ayumi did a great job with that. Rie asked about any allergies and skin-related sensitives ahead of time and they really took their time to make sure the color match was right. For my bridal HMU, I could tell that Rie really considered my feedback and comments from the trial. I will forever call it the wedding ponytail of my dreams!

    I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis so it was intimidating to think of wedding makeup - but with Rie's expertise, I looked like myself, just an elegant version. Her calm energy also helped set the tone for a relaxed morning and the amazing day that followed. I am so grateful for her time and talent. I'd recommend Rie without any hesitation. She is an incredible artist, she is professional, she is kind. (If you don't want to take my word for it, my dog loved her too)
