My name is Keely Harpster and I am the face behind ‘The Southern Pines Floral Company.’ I am a floral designer, landscape designer, and a Certified Plant Professional in North Carolina. First and foremost, I am a mom of two and a wife. I am grateful to be a Southern Pines native and look forward to raising my children in this wonderful town.

My degree and experience from the Sandhills Community College horticulture program has been a tremendous help when it comes to designing. My mentors taught me how to work with textures and colors in our natural landscape that complement each other while incorporating seasonal and native plants from around the Sandhills to make arrangements unique and special.     Do NOT ever consider using Keely Harper as a florist for any event, save yourself the headache and the trauma. I have never worked with someone so unprofessional in my life. Keely showed up an hour before we were supposed to be set up for my wedding and was still putting together the boutonniere and bouquets' in her car. I provided very clear visuals and presentation of my floral expectations and not only were they nothing like I requested, they actually looked like weeds she gathered and pulled off the side of the road. She, also, forgot an entire set of flowers she was supposed to provide for decorations. Keely showed up two days late to pick up my bouquet from the venue to have preserved after the wedding, which resulted in my bouquet being lost. After all this, I still wanted to give the opportunity for her to redeem herself and she promised to make a preservation with similar flowers from my wedding in the frame I provided. I continually checked in with her over the course of a few months (my wedding was in May) and was told it would be done soon. I just reached out to her again in January of the following year and she claimed I had the wrong number. After confirming who I was she BLOCKED me. This was the final straw. I have been waiting to post my review with the hopes of her being a decent person and following through but she is just a horrible vendor and the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life. Keely, I hope you see and read this...maybe you can unblock me and at least give me my frame back.

    The flowers that Keely provided for my daughter's outdoor wedding were gorgeous - she shared our vision right away, and the flowers she provided were fresh, arranged beautifully, and displayed with care. She was very communicative leading up to the big day, and was punctual and professional. We highly recommend her services - she is extremely talented and a pleasure to work with.

    I wish I could give her zero stars. She was supposed to bring me bring flowers for my wedding and showed up 3 hours late. The flowers were wilted and dead and my bouquet had ants all over it. She didn’t even provide me with boutonnières or flower crowns like I asked and paid for. She put together my bouquets with zip ties in her car literally when she pulled up. My arbor piece look like dead leaves and weeds that she pulled out of the ground. She called me making up excuses saying she wasn’t gonna make it but maybe would make it before I walked down the aisle. So me and my girls stood around waiting for her. She also refused to refund me my money even though I didn’t use any of her hideous dead and wilted arrangements that she brought me. She must take peoples money and then spend it on herself or something else. Not too sure. She was also supposed to help set up and instead she set these giant vases with random flowers on the front porch of my bridal suite and left. (Those were supposed to be my centerpieces with mason jars and string lights and we’re definitely not that at all) She was horrible at communication and ignored my calls and texts. Please do not hire her, she will take your money and then not provide her services that she promises and then keep it.

    Words cannot describe how amazing Keely is. She went above and beyond to ensure I had my florals with my crazy timeline of the day, and I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the centerpieces she created. I cannot express how lucky I feel to have chosen The Southern Pines for our florals for our wedding. YOU WONT REGRET IT!!
