At flowers by stem, we see our floral designs as a physical expression of our clients' love, and it's our honor to express their love through flowers. We believe flowers can inspire beautiful moments, and cherish the opportunity to work with people as they plan their special celebrations. Flowers by stem owner Stephanie Stopka founded flowers by stem in 2006 on the idea that the key to beautiful design is a personalized approach, the highest quality flowers and eco-friendly mechanics.

Flowers by stem takes an eco-friendly approach to floral design. We do this in a variety of ways, including: Focusing on local, in-season flowers during the Midwest growing season Working directly with local sustainable flower farmers Recycling and composting waste Communicating all invoices electronically Passing it on - we coordinate flower donations after events. Many of our flowers enjoy a second life at nursing homes & hospitals around the city. Owner Stephanie is the Vice President of the Green Wedding Alliance, a collective of local wedding and event vendors, working together to bring more eco-friendly practices to the event industry,

Flowers by Stem was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. The floral arrangements that Stephanie created for our reception were simply beautiful, specific to our style, and absolutely gorgeous. They curated the flowers and greenery to match our tastes perfectly, and their attention to detail really shone through in the final product. We were blown away by how awesome the florals looked on our wedding day. My husband and I booked Flowers by Stem after speaking with Stephanie and discussing our budget & vision. She sent back an amazing proposal and we just had to lock them in for our big day. From the beginning they were easy to communicate with and when things were changing closer to the date, they quickly responded and made sure we were all set. On the day of the wedding, they were right on time, and I am so thrilled and happy we went with them because the flowers and decor were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! Stephanie & her team delivered exactly what they promised and more! We received so many compliments about the bouquets, flowers & decor on the day-of and for days after! We truly appreciated how special they helped make our day! We cannot recommend enough!
