Operating out of Farmington, MI, Chive Kitchen is a wedding-catering business known for their eclectic and fashionable cuisine. Drawing inspiration from California’s fusion cuisine and European flavors, lead chef Suzy Silvestre has developed a distinctive menu that features classic and cosmopolitan dishes. Serving special occasions throughout the Detroit area and beyond, this company aims to complement your big day with a wholesome and palate-pleasing dining experience.

Our menu taps into Portuguese and Western European flavor profiles as well as flavors from California’s fusion cuisine. Chef Suzy Silvestre is dedicated to her style of cooking which is a melting pot of her Portuguese upbringing in the San Francisco East Bay as well as her travels and endless love for cultures all over the world and the US.

Great! Suzy was communicative, timely, and thorough throughout our wedding planning process. Chive is a high-quality company. We loved Chive's delicious food and beautiful decorations at a wedding we went to last year. When we began planning our wedding, we knew Chive was the way to go. Suzy was an absolute professional and was able to help us with every minute detail. During our initial meeting with Suzy, we loved how imaginative she was in helping represent both our cultures in our food options. She also helped us develop a menu that was best suited for the season. Last minute, we decided to add dessert to our menu, and Chive created delicious unique cupcakes, and a gorgeous cake that were custom designed to fit our wedding theme. I was blown away! Chive helped make our special day special and we are very grateful--thank you, Suzy!

Suzy is above her class. I requested catering that would support a medieval theme for a castle wedding. She did her research of medieval period food and made sure her presentation matched our decor. She exceeded all my expectations. Her menu was special diet friendly and full of flavor. Highly recommend her services if you want a elevated menu unique to your event. kid and special diet friendly

We hired Chive to cater our wedding and Suzy to be our day-of-coordinator. Suzy was amazing to work with - she impressed us immediately with how knowledgable she is about everything wedding-related. She was extremely communicative and patient with us (we had a lot of questions), and she made sure everything turned out exactly as we hoped. We had some unique requests, both food-related and event-related, that she happily accomodated. She and her staff did an amazing job setting up our decorations and creating a beautiful food display (appetizers, dinner, and desserts). They truly went above and beyond on our wedding day so that we had nothing to worry about. And the food was absolutely amazing! We had an entirely vegan wedding, and we successfully tricked/impressed our picky family members who couldn't believe the food was vegan. We did a charcuterie spread for our appetizers, 3 buffet stations for dinner (Italian, Cajun, and Mexican), and a dessert spread that included both of our favorite desserts. We would highly recommend Suzy and her team!

Suzy and the team at Chive catering were incredible. The food was delicious and the bartenders did an amazing job. Our cocktails were so good, and they kept things moving along so well. Suzy was easy to work with and helped to make sure everything looked, tasted, and felt like our vision. The day would not have been as smooth or successful without their team. The staff was all polite and helpful. We got so many compliments on the food - everyone said it was the best wedding food they’d had! 10/10 would recommend.
