Hello. My name is Amy Nicole and I am the girl under the Blue Umbrella and the face behind the cloud of flour and sugar. I fell into baking almost by accident after wanting to step away from my office job to find something more fulfilling. I started as a cake decorator in 2014 and transitioned into a bakery manager position before making the leap to business owner. The Blue Umbrella opened in 2018 and it has been an amazing adventure ever since.
The Blue Umbrella Bakery opened in July 2018. Operating as an in-home bakery, the Blue Umbrella specializes in custom cake, cookies, and cupcakes while offering a variety of homemade desserts and pastries. The Blue Umbrella is the bakery that listens to your ideas and brainstorms with you so we can create your Cakeality. We believe every custom dessert should be as unique as the person it is created for.

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due to book your date. Final payment is due 3-4 weeks prior to event.
You can reserve your date as soon as you would like to. We recommend weddings book 8 to 12 months in advance. Deposit is due to book your date. The date will remain open until deposit is paid and is not guaranteed.
There is no charge for wedding tasting boxes, but preorder is required. Tasting boxes are available at predetermined dates each month. At this time we do not offer customized tasting boxes. Please inform the Blue Umbrella of any dietary needs when placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Yes! Consultations are recommended 6 months in advance as many decisions are made by this time for the event and couples have a better idea of what they want for their wedding which helps couples get the most out of their consultation. Consultations can have up to 4 attendees and are scheduled Monday - Wednesday 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
This may depend on how you plan on serving the cake, but we generally suggest a cake or desserts with servings close to, or slightly fewer, than your number of guests.
At this time, the Blue Umbrella does not offer nonedible additions to their cakes including (but not limited to) flowers, cake stands, toppers, cupcake stands. We do not carry cake toppers or cake stands, but you can provide your own. The cake stand will need to be at least 2 inches wider than the diameter of your base tier to account for the cake board.
Yes! We are happy to offer and recommend delivery for events. Delivery fee is $0.75 per mile round trip (minimum $10.00).
We recommend delivery for large tiered wedding cakes. If you choose to pick up your cake, please make sure you have a clean, flat surface for transportation in an air conditioned vehicle. The floor is generally safer than the seat for cake transportation. We are not responsible for damages to your cake once it leaves our facility and care.
You can, but we would like to offer you a better option. To help you celebrate your first year of marriage, we will make you a complimentary 6’’ round cake in the flavors of your original wedding cake. Simply call in the order a week before your anniversary, and we’ll have it ready for pickup, FREE OF CHARGE!
