Terry Farmer Music

Terry is a seasoned professional musician. Starting from a young age in his family band, Terry’s music career has taken him to all four corners of the country and beyond as a player and bandleader, including a 2-year stint as lead guitarist with surf legends Jan & Dean, and 3 years of national touring with his original rock & roll band, The Bead Band. In the 1990s, after several years living in Los Angeles, he spent 6 years studying classical guitar at the University of Denver and the Cleveland Institute of Music.

At the turn of the century, Terry returned to his roots creating several solo CDs featuring a fusion of styles and players – and all original songs. Terry has been artistic director and musical director for many initiatives including the live radio show, Radio Free Bacon, and has toured the US and Canada extensively as part of various groups. As part of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute Terry is a certified Suzuki teacher and runs a thriving guitar studio. He is adjunct faculty at Concordia University Ann Arbor, and directs the contemporary service at the First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor.
