About SoCal Sax

JeremySaxx

Saxophonist

Jeremy Reta Jackson has been playing music since the age of 5. Coming from a musical family he learned how to play jazz and blues at an early age. He studied music theory and went on to become the lead saxophonist in the Humboldt State University Jazz Band. After moving to Southern California he began playing with the best DJs around the San Diego/LA area. He has played countless big acts including the likes of KAABOO, Big Night San Diego, Parq, Horizon Music Festival, Musicbox, Yelp!, Google, Hornblower, the list goes on. Currently, Jeremy is focusing on private events, weddings, and music festivals where he performs alongside DJs.

I play alongside DJs and use a wireless mic to roam throughout the crowd to provide a more immersive and entertaining experience for the audience. Most sax players only stand around and play jazz or outdated music whereas I can play more current house music that is either laid back or high energy. I also love to get on the dance floor and get the crowd going to bring the music experience to the next level.

Jeremy was the most fun addition to our wedding celebrations! We hired him as an add on to our DJ and he did not disappoint! Our guests absolutely loved his talent and high energy! He played during cocktail hour and it set the mood perfectly, and then he joined us (literally) on the dance floor, which was so much fun!
