The Inn was conceived in 2007, but this beautiful home dates back to 1840. Built by a southern family whose son-in-law would eventually march by the estate on his way to fight in the Civil War. It has since served as a dairy, a school, and is now the center of The Meadow Lake Equestrian Center, our on-site multi-discipline full-service equestrian facility.

Heartland of Versailles is a romantic 1886 Victorian estate that radiates casual elegance and tranquil charm. It sits on 30 acres of idyllic woodland lawns with the arched relics of its former carriage house as a perfect backdrop for a one-of-a-kind wedding! Heartland of Versailles offers three packages for your wedding experience: Elopement, Small Weddings and Traditional Weddings. The Horseman's Lounge - Seats 125 An indoor ceremony and reception space. The Horseman's Lounge seats 125 guests and features hardwood floors, vintage chandelier, large original fireplace, heat and A/C, prep kitchen, and an open catering policy. The Paddock - Accommodates 200 An outdoor ceremony and reception space. The Paddock accommodates up to 200 guests for ceremony or cocktail hour and up to 150 guests for a seated reception. The Paddock features a whimsical archway entrance, wishing well, scenic view of rolling pastures, bridal suites on-site, prep kitchen, and an open catering policy.

Avonley Homestead is the perfect atmosphere to make your wedding or next event a dream come true. Tucked inside historic Shelbyville, KY just outside of Louisville, this venue is complete with secluded 9 acres of rolling hills landscape and elegantly rustic barn. We host small to medium sized weddings of 108 people or less, but can accommodate more in our vast lawn. The bride and ladies get a 2 story tiny house to prepare for the day while the fellas have a room attached to the barn.
