From the very first time we stepped foot inside Hermann Hill, we knew it was going to be special. Becki gave us a tour and all we could think about was how beautiful it was. When we walked outside and the groom saw the river bluff, it was a done deal and he said we had to get married there. Roxanne became our wedding coordinator and to say she was truly amazing is an understatement. She kept us in the loop, kept our heads above water when it felt like there was so much to do, and continued to keep us excited throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding, Roxanne was so upbeat and fun and did amazing with the set up. She truly was a treasure. We will never be able to thank the amazing work everyone did, from Roxanne, to the amazing chef, and to all the staff that we didn’t get to meet. All of you made our wedding day PERFECT. Veronica’s team set up the reception and cocktail hour so beautifully, it exceeded my expectations. Every detail was looked after! Any errors during the event were immediately rectified. The entire Hyatt staff went above and beyond to make our day not just special, but easy, including our getting ready rooms and our bridal suite after. The Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. Their communication was quick, informative, and always helpful, which made the planning process seamless. The quality of their work and value was outstanding - the venue was beautiful and clean, and they were able to flip a room quickly and you couldn’t even tell we were in the same room for the reception! The venue really transformed! We were running behind schedule and they were quick to give us extra time so we didn’t have to rush our schedule. Also there is a small lake behind the venue which is stunning, you will not need to leave the venue for family photos after the wedding! They had plenty of staging rooms and an unexpected but appreciated compliment I got from our guest was how good our cocktail hour was, we had indoor and outdoor areas to relax and mingle! My one criticism is, we did find that they could improve the transparency around the financial aspects of the process, as we felt they were not the best stewards of our wedding budget. Despite this concern, I’d still choose them again, they barely hesitated to fix or clear up any concerns we had along the way and I’m sure they will continue to improve in this area. Overall, we were thrilled with our experience at the Renaissance and would recommend them to any couple looking for a stunning wedding venue with excellent service.

Rick was very open, communicative and set up several planning meetings to make sure we had everything we wanted to create the perfect Pakistani-American fusion wedding. Rick was so easy to work with, had great energy, enthusiasm and professionalism. When the weather turned to rain for our outdoor ceremony he didn't waste a single second and saved the day. He also went out of his way to learn Pakistani/Muslim traditions and was very open and respectful of dietary restrictions and everything else. We had our Indian wedding in March of 2024 and it was a dream come true thanks to Hotel Viata. We had multiple events spread over a couple of venues but Hotel Viata hosted our guests the entire weekend as well as several of our events. We had a LGBTQ Indian wedding and they truly rose to the occasion. Our main contact Kelsey was FANTASTIC, but we truly received top notch service from everyone-from the folks that welcomed us at the desk to the bartenders and servers at our events. They went above and beyond to learn about our traditions and make each of events special. Honestly, we felt like extended family and our guests raved about the experience. The love, openness and celebratory affection they radiated our entire weekend…well that was priceless. Within their ability, they truly tried to make all of our wishes come true. One example of their kindness was when Kelsey went above and beyond and grabbed food for one of our best friend’s young kids…just because we wanted to make sure she had something that she would definitely eat. We’ll always remember our wedding with love and fondness….it was such a special time. And we’ll always be grateful to Hotel Viata for making our 20-year long dream come true. We had our wedding at the Inn at Pleasant Lake in Sept 2024. The day couldn’t have been more perfect and it was mostly thanks to the fabulous and attentive staff at the inn. The location is beautiful and serene, grounds were immaculate and they remembered every detail that we asked for. Kate was one of the biggest reasons we chose to have our wedding there. She is thoughtful, never pushy or rushed, detail oriented and responsive. Our guests raved about the food at each event (rehearsal, wedding and brunch) and having access to the full Inn and grounds made for a relaxing weekend getaway for our families and us. I only wish we could do it all over again!

The Courtyard Wilmington Downtown was the perfect venue for our wedding stay. The sales team was very helpful and informative throughout the planning process, and all the spaces were clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job refreshing the rooms after our bridal party got ready, and they gave great suggestions for our brunch with the girls. The location was also fantastic, making it easy for our guests to get around. Overall, the Courtyard Wilmington Downtown contributed greatly to making our special day a success.

We planned our wedding at the Oxford in less than six months, and could not have been happier with the entire process. Brittany was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and truly listened to what we wanted. She was relaxed and calm, but ALWAYS on top of it, and provided us many options as we weighed our priorities. The entire event felt so much like us. Planning and working with Brittany was made easy because she is so organized, and never imposed her own views on us (but gave great advice when we asked). We absolutely loved the accommodations offered to us and to our guests, and the service at the hotel was exemplary - all of the staff are so friendly! There were no hidden or tricky costs, and the food was absolutely phenomenal - people still talk about it over a year later! We found such ease in being able to host all in one spot - many of our guests stayed at the hotel, we held the ceremony and reception there, and transportation was super easy for everyone. Guests enjoyed the cocktail lounge after the reception, and many ate next store at the Urban Farmer for breakfast. It's a special place to go back to now - we loved our wedding and the planning process, and cannot recommend working with Brittany enough!

The adjacent Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar began it's life as Denver's 1st hose company, part of the fire department, in the late 1800's and now is the local spot for comfortable and sustainable food choices. The hotel side offers over 10,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space and the neighboring restaurant can host as many as 200 using all the indoor and outdoor space.

Having my wedding at the Newport Marriott exceeded my expectations from start to finish. You can't beat the scenic location, unmatched convenience of having accommodations under the same roof to the staff that went above and beyond with every request big or small. I can't express enough how at ease I felt leading up to my wedding working with Rachel who was my events coordinator. Throughout my entire planning process, I could always count on her for a prompt response with answers to any questions I had or resolutions to any new requests and concerns I'd throw her way. Being able to have full trust in Rachel was really the greatest gift I could ask for. She made the process so stress-free and it's worth mentioning she's super sweet and a joy to be around! When I think back on my wedding, I'll always remember how helpful she was and how much that positively impacted the entire experience. Every staff member I worked with was incredibly helpful and pleasant. My guests rang their praises after the big day too. The food and bar service was top notch. I used the house centerpieces that were gorgeous. I hadn't a single worry about everything coming together the way I planned and pictured all because of the staff here. Hotel Cleveland was an incredible venue for our Friday night welcome event, room block, and after party. From the start, the staff was quick to respond, incredibly helpful, and productive in working with us to plan our special weekend. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, and the renovations are stunning, with a unique and upscale aesthetic that provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. When we encountered an issue with our original event space, the team quickly recalibrated and moved us to another gorgeous area of the hotel, ensuring our welcome event went off without a hitch. The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive throughout the entire event, as well as our guests in the room block. We could not have asked for a more beautiful, unique, and updated venue to host our guests across the wedding weekend. About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
