I consider my approach akin to storytelling. My goal is to document the genuine love, laughter, and raw emotions of your day, along with all the little details and memories that made it so special. I'm also all about getting creative and will step away from the candid approach to execute a few fun (and sometimes playful) ideas. Creative portraits are my love.

I was born into a very artistic family and was given many chances to experience art throughout my childhood. I experimented with drawing, painting, sculpture and a variety of other artistic mediums, however, none of these really sparked my interest. But then in high school, I found photography and completely fell in love with the medium. Ever since then, I have been taking photos every day!

Eight years ago, I was a documentary photographer for a disaster relief organization in Haiti, following the earthquake. When I came back to the states, I kept photographing - a little lighter material this time. But my knack for documenting events and emotion has stayed with me. I live in Louisville, Kentucky but am lucky enough to get to travel for photography. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m playing basketball with my awesome son, Luca, or throwing around some clay on a pottery wheel. Oh, and trying to keep my plant babies alive.

First and foremost - I love what I do. I feel privileged to be able to make art every day and share it with my clients. My goal is to make images speak, exposing "how it feels". I try to achieve in my work: balance, beauty, consistency and continual growth.

I know this page is where I’m supposed to list all my accomplishments or wax nostalgic about hand-developing black and white film in my high school darkroom. But instead of giving you a history lesson about how I fell in love with photography in the first place, I think it’s more important to explain why I’m still driven to create images and capture moments. My wife and son mean everything to me, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than traveling the world with them. When we’re on the road, we dive deep into the culture, food, and history of each place we visit.

I am fascinated with human connection. I truly believe there is nothing more powerful than love, soul, humanity, care, kindness, sunlight and curiosity to live. Leaving a legacy by creating timeless, authentic and emotional images of your story.

I live in Pittsburgh with my husband Brian, and our brood of furbabies. I am thankful every day that I get to do what I love as a full time career. I am a firm believer that you need to have a good sense of humor in life. I live for coffee, pretty sunsets, kitty snuggles and doggy kisses. I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with giraffes.
