She went completely above and beyond- when the bridal party was finishing photos outside and it started pouring, she got SOAKED while shielding my bridesmaids and making sure everyone was able to get safely from the park to the vehicles to inside the venue. She literally used herself as a shield and then proceeded to to help everyone get touch ups while they dried off- by the time the ceremony had started, no one would have had an idea that everyone had been rained on. “I am a very skeptical person when it comes to makeup. I don’t wear a lot and when I do I feel like I look like a clown. Bekah did the absolute opposite of that! I booked Bekah about a year out from my wedding after going through multiple quotes. I’m the type of person that goes with a gut feeling, and once I spoke with Bekah I instantly knew she was the one I wanted on my wedding day. From the makeup trial leading up to the day of, Bekah has been communicative, SUPER down to earth, prompt in her responses, and just straight up supportive. “I had a vision for my wedding day to accentuate my long hair – soft, glamorous waves similar to an Old Hollywood look. If this is the look you're going for as well, you likely quickly discovered that this is a much more difficult look to achieve than you think. Better yet, most of the professionals who have perfected their technique charge well over 500 (one even quoted me 900) for the wedding day look and that didn't include a trial. I am all for paying vendors what they deserve for their skills and talent, but it felt so unattainable. But beyond that, these stylists booked up far too quick to even get on their books. Some others I was able to get trials with simply didn't have the skill to achieve the soft Hollywood style. I went to Coven for a haircut and met Alexis and ironically struck up a conversation about my wedding. She was inquiring about what kind of look I was going for and we ended up booking a trial for glam waves. When I say I was beyond surprised and overjoyed leaving my trial – and the wedding day?! I could not say enough amazing things about Lex. She even washed and styled my hair before my rehearsal dinner the day prior to the wedding (separate cost) so the amount of product in my hair was exactly what we wanted to work with on the wedding morning. She is the kindest, most professional soul with the talent to match. And as it is a very important factor in the process of wedding planning, the pricing is reasonable and attainable. The amount of compliments I get on my hair to this day anytime someone sees a wedding photo, and I will forever recommend Alexis and her team at Coven!! She was great to work with, and she put a lot of effort into making everything work with my 10-person wedding party, including finding an additional make-up artist at the last minute after someone bailed, and making sure everyone followed safe covid protocols. “I found Le Shag because they worked on another wedding at our venue and everything looked great, I was excited to work with them. There was some back and forth communication (playing phone tag/miscommunication/missed calls), trying to get everything booked, but eventually we were able to connect and get our day booked and later getting the trial booked. The trial with Mikaela was great, as someone who doesn’t typically wear a lot of makeup she was great at explaining everything, asking a lot of questions, and making sure I was comfortable. On the day of, the hair and makeup artists (Mikaela, Carly & Skylar) were prompt, professional, and did an incredible job, although some of the makeups took a bit longer than expected. My makeup looked absolutely stunning and lasted all night long (my hair did begin to lose its curl). I was so happy with the quality of their work and the value they provided. One of bridesmaids even reached out afterwards to get everyone’s names and the name of the company and their contact information because she loved her hair and makeup so much!”
