Justin McCallum Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200
  • Serves Tickfaw, LA for additional fees

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
My wife and I love movies. A lot. So much so that we're on a first name basis with the staff of our local multiplex. When we got engaged we knew we wanted to have our pictures taken at the theater. It seemed like a crazy idea and Justin jumped at the chance. He came to the shoot filled with ideas and a contagious enthusiasm. Even before we got the amazing pictures we knew we wanted to hire him for our wedding day. The photos from the engagement shoot made us even more excited for our wedding, if only to see what Justin would do! On the day of the wedding he made us feel comfortable and at ease the whole time. He worked with our wedding planner and videographer to make sure everything went buttery smooth so we could be completely stress free. Our friends and family loved him too! He managed to make what by all accounts should have been an uncomfortable few hours and turn it into a genuinely fun experience for everyone involved. The wedding party had a blast goofing around and posing together. In addition to his great eye for staging Justin has a way of capturing moments of beauty you didn't even know were there. Blink-and-you-miss-them moments like the belly laugh after a joke, the joy of dancing with old friends, and the most meaningful of shared glances. He managed to bottle the full range of emotions of our day and lay them out in stunning detail so we can relive it over and over again. Not only is Justin McCallum a phenomenal photographer, he's also a passionate lovely person who is a joy to be around as well as work with.

Welcome to Arie T. Photography, a black queer woman-owned and operated traveling portrait and wedding photography service based out of the Georgia and Michigan! I've had the honor of capturing all walks of life across the USA with hopes of taking it worldwide. I'm known for my use of natural light, and "unposed” stress-free approach when it comes to my clients. If you feel like you’re awkward in front of the camera, I’ll take that as a challenge to prove you wrong because I can be awkward too.

Awarded Best of Zola
Arie was our photographer for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. She made my now husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She directs her couples well and gets their authentic selves captured so brilliantly. She is very kind and was just a gem to work with. We were so excited to get our photos back, she got all the shots that we wanted! Many of our guests complimented her professionalism and how she was working the whole day. She kept track of our timeline too, which was super important since there wasn’t a ton of wiggle room. Thank you, Arie, for being a part of our day and capturing it so perfectly!

My partner and I hired Sean for our engagement photos and we were extremely impressed! He was super helpful in helping us pose and very skilled in the ways he used lighting to capture our best features. He captured really genuine moments with such skill. He also made sure the job was well done and he got all the photos that we could have wanted. We had a blast working with him! The photos are stunning and I genuinely can’t stop looking at them! Hi! I'm Sarah. Congratulations on taking the next step in your wedding planning! Choosing to work with me earns you more than just a photographer; you get a hype-girl, a dress fluffer, a confidant and a new best friend. Since we are now future besties, here's what you should know about me: My love for portraiture stems from the joy it brings me to make others feel beautiful. Few things make me feel as giddy as photographing weddings, engagements & proposals, and I can't wait to capture the next stage of your love story. My strengths lie in natural lighting, illuminating colors, and catching the candid moments that make you, you.

Awarded Best of Zola
There is not enough good things we can say about Sarah! From day 1, she had great communication before the proposal while deciding the perfect location and how we would meet up with her. She executed flawlessly and I never saw her until the ring was on my finger even though she followed us for a bit before the big moment. She made us feel so comfortable for the photoshoot after and was willing to go to a few different spots with us all while carrying all of our stuff so it wouldn’t be in our pockets for the pictures. We received the sneak peeks the next day and were blown away with how well they turned out, she nailed it!! She got the big “I do” moment which was most important and then captured so many other sweet moments right before and after that I will forever be so grateful we can relive because of her photos. The best thing about her is that you can feel the joy coming out of the screen when you look through her galleries. So many people have raved over how well our engagement photos turned out. Everyone should book Sarah, she is so great at what she does!!

Hey there! Since you are trusting me to capture these special moments in your life, I figured you should probably know a bit about me, right? I am a Huntsville, Alabama native, but moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2013. ROLL TIDE! Although I consider Nashville home, I am anything but a homebody. I love traveling and exploring new places (especially the food at those places!). I even studied abroad in Italy, which let me tell you, was a food lover's dream. I have always felt like an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body. I would rather listen to Frank Sinatra than anything on the radio today.

Awarded Best of Zola
I have worked with Diana a lot in the past 2 years, and she is so great at what she does! I love getting to do videography by her side! She cares so much about her couples and you can just tell from the moment you get to meet her!

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Tickfaw, LA for additional fees

Xenia Park is a photography and videography company based in Los Angeles. Every couple, with their distinctive love story, transforms into a canvas where we paint with the play of light and shadow. It extends beyond the grandeur of photographing pivotal moments like vows, rings, and the first dance; it encompasses the art of capturing nuanced glances, shared laughter, and the silent connection that elevates an ordinary day into an extraordinary celebration of love. Published in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are incredibly grateful Xenia was our engagement/wedding photographer and couldn't be happier with the results! The photos will speak to her technical talent; her professionalism and dedication to her craft are evident in every shot. It was so hard for me to only select 6 photos. What the images don't explicitly show is that Xenia was an absolute joy to work with. She is clear, transparent, and helpful in her communication. Her straightforward and friendly communication ensured we were always on the same page and felt supported throughout the process. While shooting, she is organized and efficient. We got every shot we hoped for and then some. Her enthusiasm and joy were infectious. She made these two awkward nerds feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. We cannot recommend Xenia enough! We will cherish the photos you took forever!

Michelle Evans Art

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,800
  • Serves Tickfaw, LA for additional fees

As a Memphis, TN Wedding photographer, I have been calling the Grind City my home for the past 10 years. I love the city, the lifestyle, and even the incredibly stupid traffic (although that won't keep the road rage down). I came here for my BFA in Photography and stayed for the Grind City life. My work focuses on the actions we take to show our care and love for each other. I cherish all types of human connection, and believe that our most precious memories deserve to be preserved in a way that is personable and true to us.

Awarded Best of Zola
Michelle has a way to both hype you up and calm you down at the same time. If you are shy in front of the camera, she will make you feel strong and beautiful. She is incredibly thorough, and will deliver a product and service beyond whatever your minds eye can see. She is simply that talented. 20/10 recommend for you to hire Michelle, and 100/10 will hire her again because she is so awesome.

We could not have thought of a better photographer for our wedding...I wanted the pictures to look natural, not staged and Ksenia understood me so well! It seemed like she could really feel what I wanted and how I saw it. Those shots came out great. Magnificent lighting, exquisite vision, and precious moments captured in timeless shots. We printed all of the photographs and made an album that makes me happy and always reminds me of that very special day!

Gabbie Burseth Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Tickfaw, LA for additional fees

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!
