Now my dad didn't share this same joy as me because back then it was all film and every snapshot I took...he knew he had to pay to develop. We love to look back on that time of my life now and see where it got me. Its a funny story to reflect on, but so rewarding to see a joy turn into a passion and that passion turn into a career!

I started my photography journey taking photos of my wife. Watching her come to life with confidence was the greatest feeling in the world. And when she used that confidence to overcome her negative self-image, I knew I was onto something. I initially set out to ensure everyone I worked with knew what this felt like. After shooting with models and brands for a few years, I was asked to photograph my first wedding and the experience was unreal. Hi friend, I'm Katelyn! Thinking back, I really have always loved documenting my life through photos, even if I didn't realize that was what I was doing. It all started with me begging my parents to take me to CVS to grab a Kodak disposable camera, using all the film to take photos of anything I could, getting it developed and creating my own personal photo albums that I still have packed away at my parents home. In 2011, my mom purchased the coolest Nikon D5000 DSLR camera (which I eventually took over, sorry mom!!!) and I never looked back.
