“I first found Brooke in the summer of 2022 as I putting together the pieces to do a surprise proposal at Split Rock Lighthouse along the North Shore in Minnesota. At the time I had spoken with multiple photographers within Minnesota to try and help capture my surprise proposal. During my search I found Brooke Dinkel Photography. After hearing back from Brooke that she was available the weekend I was planning my surprise proposal we set up a phone call to discuss my vision. Brooke was a pleasure to work with as she helped give suggestions on the surprise such as timing of the proposal with weather, location for the best background, and how to obtain live reaction photos without giving away the surprise. After an unforgettable proposal we then had a photo shoot that included a gift of custom champagne glasses and champagne.
After our proposal we framed two of our favorite photos in our house. To this day every time we look at these photos the emotions come flooding back on how special that moment was for both of us. This lifetime gift of remembrance was in part of Brooke’s professionalism, creativity, and passion.
It was a no brainer that we wanted to have Brooke be our photographer for our wedding day. We stayed in touch with Brooke as we planned our wedding and were able to meet her husband, Tyler. Brooke has multiple different packages for a wedding day which gave us comfort in planning our budget.
Brooke and Tyler went beyond our expectations as they were able to attend our rehearsal dinner and capture amazing photos including wedding party and family gift giving, night before speeches, and our pre-wedding excitement.
It was clear the Brooke’s experience made her well-equipped from a photography standpoint during a busy and fast paced wedding day to capture all the big moments. Brooke made it an emphasis in connecting with us to establish a timeline, family portrait pairings, and candid photos ahead of time. This put us at ease knowing that we were all on the same page and allowing us to focus on celebrating with our friends and family.
By far our most memorable moment working with Brooke was our sunset photo session on the evening of our wedding. Similar to our proposal photos, every time we look back on our sunset photos all the emotions of joy and excitement come rushing back.
