We started Blend after falling in love at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Upon graduating, we trekked across the country to work tireless hours under envelope-pushing chefs in Napa Valley and San Francisco. We are happy to now call the Greater Reno-Tahoe area our home, as this region is brimming with culinary possibilities and evolving in exciting ways.
We love helping our couples celebrate their love together. Helping them bring the little pieces that helped their relationship grow into their wedding. Incorporating food from a first date or family heritage receipe.

I’m Amy. My passion for baking started when I was in high school. In my senior year, I went to a technical high school that focused on culinary arts, baking, and hospitality. After learning everything about the industry and how far you could go with passion and practice my inspiration for baking continued to grow over the years. I started doing small orders for kids ’birthdays about six years ago and finally made my side business official in 2019.
I had my first shot at managing a sushi restaurant when I took over an empty section of the family restaurant and introduced sushi to my customers. It was a challenge that I will never regret accepting. It was fun, a lot of fun! I had the opportunity to work with some really talented and creative chefs. I quickly learned that it’s not just about having fresh fish anymore. Sushi dining has transformed into a culture. A culture built by imagination and creativity. With the help of GD and the support of my family, I took all that experience and fused it with my imagination and created Yooshi Sushi Catering and Event Production.
