I’m Sabrina, an Austrian-South African photographer living in New York City. I shoot weddings, elopements and engagements — and as an avid traveler, I absolutely love shooting destinations. Raised between South Africa, Austria and Luxembourg, I spent long periods of my youth traveling the world with my mother. I grew up surrounded by the arts and chose photography as my primary creative outlet. I practice photography professionally , as well as continue to document the many people and places from my travels. I love to capture moments and tell stories in a captivating , creative and organic way.

I was born off the coast of Portugal, in the Azores Islands, and raised in Cartaxo near Lisbon. At 19, I moved to the U.S. and have called Boston home ever since, embracing the beauty of New England’s seasons. My journey began in graphic design, but photography soon became my passion. In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.
