“We recently got married at Meyer's Castle, and it was an absolute dream come true. My husband, Jeff, and I fell in love with this venue at first sight. We love how private and intimate it is. The castle is completely gated and surrounded by dense trees. You would never know that such an oasis exists just outside of Chicago. When you enter the gate, you drive on a long driveway to the top where you see the castle sitting on the hill. It's quite impressive and reminds me of destination weddings in Europe. The best part is that you don't have to leave the country. We decided to opt for the outdoor reception, which is their most expensive option because it involves a plan B in case of bad weather. The plan B was to host a reception in one of their gorgeous ballrooms. We could choose between two. However, the outdoor reception was so worth it. We were lucky enough to have a perfect sunny day without it being too hot. The venue's booking manager told us that September is their most popular month for weddings, and now I understand why—the weather was absolutely perfect. The team at Meyer's Castle was very friendly, professional, and always responded to our questions in a timely manner. It was totally worth it to hire their Month-Off coordinator, Kate. She was amazing! They also have a list of preferred vendors who they don't force you to hire but recommend based on their experience with them. We hired a photographer and a cake vendor from Meyer's Castle's list, and we were extremely happy we did. The venue's newly renovated bridal suite is cute and elegant at the same time. It has beautiful baby blue peacock wallpaper and a grand gold mirror. They actually have real peacocks living on the property, so the wallpaper in the bridal suite really fits the theme of the venue. This place is awesome. You can have both the wedding ceremony and reception at the same location, which is very convenient and stress-free. I don't like ceremonies in the church, and I would choose over and over to exchange my vows with my husband in the beautiful, green, lush gardens with birds singing around us.”

“Our wedding at Etre farms was absolutely perfect. The Etre team makes wedding plan a dream. I kept thinking to myself, "why am I not stressed yet..shouldn't I be stressed?" month over month ahead of our wedding day - but it's because they think of quite literally everything. Working with their team requires very little from the bridegroom to make your dreams and vision come true. This was especially important to use as we live in a different state and are on the go for work nearly every week. Of course you still need to offer input and share your general vision but they help walk you through details you may be unfamiliar with - we had a handful of meetings over the course of the year and everything we discussed was made a reality. When the wedding finally came, we couldn't have asked for a better day. From the hospitality throughout the getting ready period with our personal concierge and food/drinks provided, to the beautiful space they created with in-house florals (Nicole is amazing!), the best wedding food I've ever had (by far), the beautiful details and signage (shout out Elliana @ Brush Letter Boards) and Etre's amazing in-house DJ - our wedding guests were and still are raving. This review would go on and on if I tried to highlight all the little details this team thought of. We are genuinely sad the planning process is over because we loved meeting and talking with this team regularly - they are all very kind people - so easy to work with and operate like a well-oiled machine. Highly recommend this group and this venue!”

“Bluedress was everything we imagined and more. The venue is so beautiful and well kept while maintaining a rustic and off the grid vibe! Something I’ll never forget was the moments leading up the ceremony. Our morning was raining nonstop and we got a little nervous with what was to happen. After feeling like there was no choice but to have our ceremony inside, Amelia was right there to tell me we could still do it outside even though our ceremony was to start in 15 minutes and we already moved everything to inside the barn. Amelia made it happen for us and her sense of care is so pure and authentic. Amelia is one of a kind made us feel comfortable and heard every step of the way during our journey. We have so many good things to say about this venue and our guest still can’t stop raving about the decor, food, music, bar service etc! We are a very happy couple who will always remember and cherish our beautiful wedding at Blue dress Barn!”
