Thea Folls and daughter Heather Walz planted and cared for one acre of flowers to begin and have expanded over the last twenty years to include many different trees, flowering shrubs, perennials, bulbs and annual flowers. We are adding a high tunnel to expand our harvest season in the spring and we are also planting hundreds of new flowering shrubs including hydrangeas, hollies, spirea, pussy willows, and evergreens.

I came to Raleigh back in 2012 to attend NC State University and made Raleigh my permanent home. Anywhere near the ocean is where I like to be. I prefer historical places to modern venues, climbing stairs to elevators, and good puns over sounding sophisticated. I love immersing myself into the family traditions. Blending right in as one of the family members on a wedding day is vital to capturing authentic moments. Oh- and I usually make friends with the dog first. There is no destination too far or an idea too crazy—I have hung off the bow of sailboats, woke up at 3 am to film meteor showers and filmed backward on rollercoasters to document couples’ love stories.
