1101 Southern Kitchen has been a dream of mine since high school. My cooking journey began with selling desserts during school holidays then advancing to selling full plates at my mom's jobs. I knew then culinary was my path. Years later, I finally followed my heart and quit my management job to completed culinary arts school. I started 1101 Southern Kitchen a few years ago offering corporate catering throughout the city. In 2019, I took leap and entered the world of wedding catering. Growing up I have always been a person whose enjoyed great food. My aunt would always take me to 5-star restaurants in Beverly Hills. I never thought I would turn out to be a great cook, but my friends always seems to enjoy it. I met my husband in college and he played football, his favorite thing in the world was food. We now have three children and my favorite pass time is creating a great cuisine full of flavor. Growing up in California by way of Louisiana, Mexican, Soul Food, and Southern Cuisine are my most valued dishes.
