As your storyteller, my promise is to capture your love with a naturalistic approach, creating timeless photos that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Your wedding or elopement day is full of emotions and I'll be right there to capture them all. I balance a fine line of guidance and direction for posed and spontaneous moments throughout the day.

Captured By Aleena Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our engagement session. Aleena's communication was efficient, straightforward, and reliable throughout the entire process. The quality of her work is soft, natural, whimsical, and woodsy, with a wonderful candid style that captured all the special moments of our shoots . For our engagement session, Aleena made my husband and I feel completely at ease, even though we had never had professional photos taken before. She took the time to make the session feel personal and special, resulting in beautiful candid shots. We've continued to work with Aleena for family photos over the years, and she always delivers stunning, memorable images. We absolutely love Aleena's work and will recommend her to anyone, whether they are planning a wedding, elopement, or just looking for beautiful family portraits.

I'm Krista the face behind the camera at Snap Avenue Photography. I spent almost a decade living in New York City where I turned my lifelong hobby of photography into a career. Note: Currently based in the SF Bay Area but moving to Philadelphia in 2022. Booking both east and west coast weddings for 2022-2023 I am always willing to travel!

We hired Krista for our engagement photos and we are so happy with our decision. I am notoriously awkward in photos and she made me feel so comfortable and put all my nerves at ease. My husband and I did not know what location to chose and Krista was able to help us pick the perfect spot which ended being a local park. The park she guided us towards choosing means a lot to us as a couple making these pictures even more special. She definitely has the ability to make what we thought was an unassuming park the perfect backdrop with her artistic eye. She also took beautiful pictures of my ring which I didn’t expect but am so happy I have now. She was extremely professional throughout the shoot. Picking a photographer is such a hard choice because this is what will be hanging on your walls for the rest of your life and we couldn’t be happier that we went with Krista! I do not ever hesitate to recommend her.

Hi, I'm Christina Hernandez, and I am passionate about emotional, documentary photography. After working 15 years as a staff photojournalist at the San Francisco Chronicle, I've taken my years of experience to create rich, memorable images for my couples. My goal is to create a photo gallery that tells YOUR story. You are unique and your images should be, too. I cry at weddings. I can't help it! I get emotionally invested and I won't apologize for it. It allows me to get into the zone where I am completely immersed in the moment and I strive to make images that reflect that. I love being inspired by new locations, and I go with the flow.

Awarded Best of Zola
Christina was amazing, her photos are beautiful and she is so wonderful to work with! We didn't really know what wedding photos we wanted specifically, and she just curated us and the photos, and they turned out brilliantly. She isn’t intrusive during the ceremony, we didn’t even notice her and nor did our guests -yet there were so many photos! She is very responsive to emails, texts and calls. She does great check-ins and even asked if we needed help with anything the day before. She is the best and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

I'm a destination wedding photographer with over a decade of experience capturing amazing love stories around the world. This is my life's work and I am passionate about what I do. My goal as a photographer is to not only authentically capture your story in a natural way but to also create fine art; that you will cherish and treasure for years to come.

Was initially a little intimidated about choosing a wedding photographer. I think wedding photography across the board is gorgeous, but I knew I wanted someone who understood my vision of vibrant color, playful portraits, and capturing the details my husband and I had so carefully picked. Came across Nicole on a Facebook ad-- not remotely expecting to find a vendor that way. I couldn't stop looking at the photos and reached out to her right away. We had so many great vendors at our November 2023 wedding, but Nicole was on the tippy top of that list in terms of communication, professionalism, time management, energy, and willingness to hear our input. It's been months, but I find myself getting sucked into new photos all the time-- there's that many great shots! One of my bridesmaids is also a wedding photographer, so I asked for her input in hiring Nicole and she was very impressed with her portfolio, her pricing, etc.

My style is natural and photojournalistic. I love capturing unscripted moments because those are the type of photos that tell a richer story of your day. Working with me means nothing overly posed, nothing awkward, nothing that doesn't feel like YOU. While we'll spend some time doing portraits, my priority is for you to be present and enjoy your wedding day. I like to shoot discreetly with an emphasis on candids so from the moment you first see each other to that last hilarious toast, you’ll be relaxed and focused on one another and not even noticed I’m there.

My musical group, Bay Area Strings, has performed at several weddings and receptions where Vivian was the photographer. Her event work is unobtrusive, taking great photographs without anyone noticing! We have ended up using several of her candid photographs of our string players, as she has a great eye for composition and color, with a modern and artistic style that still focuses on personality of the subjects. I have also noticed that her turnaround time to provide high-quality photos to the client and vendors is very fast compared to many others we have worked with.

Born in San Francisco, I grew up in West Marin, traveled to the East coast and Ghana for schooling and I am currently based in the East Bay. A mother, gardener, hiker, traveler - I have a background in dance and psychology in addition to photography. I've photographed weddings for more than 20 years.

Cindi and her team at Two Irises turned our wedding memories into incredible photographs that we will enjoy for the rest of our lives! My favorite thing about working with Cindi is that she listened to what I wanted and took photos that I requested (family/wedding party shots, getting ready shots, etc.) but she also took so many candid photos and captured real moments of joy of my husband and I and our wedding guests. Those photos ended up being my favorite pictures! I loved her work so much I recommended Two Irises to our friends, who booked them for their wedding - and in exchange we were gifted a beautiful print of our choice from our wedding! Could not recommend Two Irises enough.

For some unknown reason I have loved weddings since I was a kid. That’s the first thing. But then… I got married. And that is indescribable. So… if you happen to be here because you have met someone special, and you are making moves, CONGRATULATIONS! You really are in for the ride of a lifetime. So… my first photos? Yup. They were from a wedding! Unfortunately they took the human knee as their subject because I was short, because I was five years old. One auspicious day I brought a camera to a friends’ wedding. I partied. I had a fabulous time. Afterwards they told me I should have said something, my photos were better than the hired pro.

We hired Paul for our San Francisco wedding and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. In addition to beautifully (and creatively) capturing the energy and excitement of the day, Paul was also an absolutely pleasure to work with at ever step of the way. Our wedding was in San Francisco this past August and had approximately 65 people in attendance. To say that we had high expectations for our wedding photographer was an understatement: we wanted someone who would be able to capture the dynamic energy and emotion of our big day in a natural, joyful way. I am happy to say that Paul exceeded all of our expectations and then some. We initially reached out to Paul in February through his website and we scheduled an introductory phone call. At that time I was chatting with a few different photographers in the Bay Area but was impressed at Paul's thoughtful questions regarding our vision of big day as well as the logistical considerations (venue locations, lighting , size, etc). From our first meeting at his lovely home, Paul was kind, thoughtful, considerate which made us feel like we were in good hands and helped put us at ease during the craziness of the planning. He asked us to consider which moments would be most important to our wedding and helped us think through the logistics of the day. Paul was also helpful in planning some of the big day itself: we had scheduled a city tour with our guests to occur between the ceremony and reception but were unsure where to go in the city. He recommended locations that would be both enjoyable for our guests and would make good backdrops for photos. In addition to the city tour, the day itself had a lot of moving parts which could have been really challenging to photograph (indoor ceremony in City Hall, outdoor brass band parade in full sunlight, indoor reception with low lighting in small antique store). Paul and his second shooter were well prepared and able to shot gorgeous photos in every location. Paul was also very mindful of which moments would be most meaningful to us. For example, we had mentioned that we specifically wanted lots of dancing photos from the reception and so Paul made sure a remote flash lighting system was set up in the reception venue which made for some fantastic dance floor shots. We had also said that we wanted to make sure we had a lot of candid photos of our friends of family and so Paul made sure to mingle among our guests, putting them at ease and getting natural, candid photos of our loved ones. After the wedding, Paul was able to send us our sneak peaks only after 24 hours (!) and the full gallery a short time after that. At this point, I was already very impressed but what happened after that really blew me away: Paul emailed me a few weeks after the wedding to me to ask if he could photograph some details from the wedding that he wasn't able to get on the big day (handkerchiefs from the brass band parade, wedding invitations, etc). He told me that he felt that those details were important in telling the story of our wedding and he wanted to make sure they were captured. I realize that it would've been easy for Paul to simply send the photos he already had but the fact that he found it was important to capture all the small details really speaks to his thoughtfulness, professionalism and excellence. We can't thank you enough, Paul!

I want to cover your day in a way that highlights the joy and sincerity that surrounds you and the people you love. Some emotions are unbridled, but most are nuanced and fleeting. When you look back at your set of images, I want you to be transported back to that day and to have those feelings rekindled. My role is to be an observer and a listener. The less time I spend interrupting, the more time I can spend watching, waiting, and capturing the moments that should be remembered. If I’m there to record it, it’ll be without printed pages from other photographers you’d like to see imitated. I'll be there as me – and I’ll be capturing you.

My search for a wedding photographer was pretty much a full time job. In fact, it was harder finding a wedding photographer than it was finding a man I wanted to marry. After spending hours and hours searching for the perfect wedding photographer, a google search found me Katie and I knew I had to work with her. From day 1 she was so easy to work with and was willing to work with me on my budget. I was extremely particular when it came to my photos and from the engagement photos to the wedding photos, she really hit it out of the park without me having to describe every little thing. The photos invoked the emotion/feeling I wanted from them and I particularly was wowed by her black and white photos. She clearly knows what she's doing and was able to work efficiently and work around a ton of sudden changes. I was a bundle of nerves on my wedding day and really valued her calm, peaceful demeanor. She truly has an extraordinary style and eye for photography and she's my #1 recommendation for brides looking for timeless wedding photos that transcend what's trending today. We've since worked with her for family photos and she wowed us once again. Honestly I'd have her photograph every momentous occasion of my life if I could. If you go through her portfolio you'll see all different styles of weddings but each photo is stunning. God forbid if I ever have another wedding, partnering with Katie is a no-brainer.

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Sarah from Sarah Luther Photography. I specialize in weddings, family portraits and event photography. I started Sarah Luther Photography out of a passion for capturing love and emotion through photography. Growing up, my mom would always take tons of family pictures. I was given a camera as a gift when I was 10 years old and haven't been without one since. :)

Sarah and her husband Ori photographed our wedding in July and we couldn't be happier with our photos. They make a great team, professional and easy to work with. Amazing photographers who love what they do and its evident in their photos. We wanted more candid, natural pictures opposed to posed ones. They got so many unexpected moments and memorable shots. From getting ready, to the ceremony, to dancing at the receptions and everything in-between. All without even knowing that they were there taking pictures. We were so happy that we chose Sarah as our photographer and you will too!!! Thank You Sarah and Ori for photographing our wedding!!! Eydie & Rick

My superpower is the way I connect with your vision. I see you guys on the best day of your lives. I see how well you two fit together, how in love you are, how perfect it all looks. And then I use my camera to make sure that’s exactly how you look in your photos. As someone who grew up *hating* all photos of me, I'm ultra aware of that for others. I still cringe a little when I think about having my photo taken, but I’ve found that it’s always easier when a friend is there to keep me laughing. My sense of humor (and obsession with bad puns) is the perfect way to break the ice for effortless, fun photos that help you feel your best!

Hi! My names Marissa, and I have one of the coolest jobs around - hanging out with people on their wedding day! I love iced coffee and Jamie Fraser and spend my spare time reading or hanging out with my horse!

We had the best experience working with Marissa for our wedding! For one, she has an amazing personality - she is fun and lighthearted, so easygoing, AND also very responsible and on top of things (which I so appreciate)! For two, we had the unfortunate timing with COVID of having to postpone our wedding and our engagement shoot, and she made it super easy. She helped me many times in the planning process, from walking through the timeline, to picking out my bridesmaid dress color. Day of, she contributed so well to the fun vibe of the day, kept us on time and therefore not stressing out, and captured some AMAZING photos of us! She also captured so many awesome candids during our day, that looking back you can really see and remember how people felt, what the vibe of the day was, and the funny things that happened too (like when my friend spilled white wine on my dress and Marissa came to the rescue with napkins;)) Thank you so much Marissa!

I am passionate about the humanity and compassion I infuse into my work and making genuine connections with the people who choose me as a Photographer, Coordinator, or Officiant. I am inspired to create images that break down societal norms and show that all kinds of people and love are valid and beautiful. My style is modern, natural, romantic, whimsical, candid, and bold.

Where do we begin with Emily!? Honestly, from start to finish she made my wife and I feel so comfortable and supported. As a same sex couple we had had a few odd experiences reaching out to photographers and with Emily it was like night and day difference. She honestly made us feel so seen, not just as a couple, but as people. My wife is definitely not used to being the center of attention and Emily somehow captured our essences in every photo. We absolutely love her candids and her ability to capture the emotions of such a special day for us. We did an engagement shoot with her before our wedding as well and we couldn't be happier with how every single photo turned out. Even almost a year later, our wedding guests still comment on how incredible our pictures came out and that they were so much better than the "traditional" posed and staged photos, because she somehow captured us. I could go on and on, but for us, Emily felt like a member of the family and we couldn't have been happier about our experience with her. She kept us on schedule and answered questions for us along the way. Honestly, we can't think of anyone who would have been a better fit for us and for our wedding. Truly the best in the business - if you're looking for a photographer, hire her immediately!

I want to capture all your in-between moments, those are my favorite, the way you guys sneak looks and steal kisses. I don’t want to be just another person who shows up and waves a black box in your face. I want your photos to represent your effortless connection, the closeness with your person, and all the other things that make you guys YOU! I am inspired by your love and I want to capture YOUR raw and real story. I want to tell it through my photos. And the fact that no else has been in my shoes, I see the world through eyes that no one else has. That’s what makes me different. Also NO TRAVEL FEE anywhere in the states!!

We got married in June 2022, and even now looking at our photos and video has us in disbelief at how Ruzin beautifully captured our special day. It’s like we’re viewing someone else’s wedding, but it’s actually ours! Throughout wedding planning, she went above and beyond for us and we can’t truly express our gratitude. She takes the time to get personal and get to know you well and understand your vision to help take it to the next level. We’ve seen many wedding photos, but hands down ours were the best. Choosing her was the best decision we made!

Kathryn, a Modesto native, began her career as a teacher with Teach for America in the San Francisco Bay Area, and after years in the classroom was driven to nonprofit work. Her photography business was born out of the desire to continue that work while also being financially independent. Kathryn is incredibly thankful for that winding path, and for all the wonderful couples who have allowed this dream to become a thriving business. Kathryn absolutely loves getting to capture special moments all over California and beyond, and strives to create clean, classic images and build meaningful connections with couples. Y también, ella habla español.

Kathryn is wonderful! We did our engagement photos with her as well as our wedding photos. She was so easy to work with, never once added to the stress of such an important day and gave us hundreds of beautiful photos. Four years into our marriage and I still have our album bookmarked on my browsers to flip through often. I highly recommend Kathryn for all your photo needs and hope to work with her for every special event in our future. We met at a photo production studio in 2008, moved in together less than 6 months later (much to our parents chagrin- sorry, guys!) and never, ever looked back. Sarah is our lead photographer, and Tim runs the crucial behind-the-scenes work that ensures everyone has the seamless experience our clients have come to know and love over the years! We firmly believe love is love, Black Lives Matter, climate change is real, and it’s totally acceptable to hug someone upon meeting them.

When looking for a photographer for my wedding i knew i wanted someone who captures the sweet unnoticed moments and the feeling of pure love through the day. Sara was just that. My husband and i couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our day. Sara’s work is not only incredible but her presence on our wedding day was something we needed. She was funny outgoing professional and most of all such a light to work with. My husband isn’t to comfortable posing and around cameras but she coached him through all the poses and made us belly laugh the whole day. Sara thank you again for making all of our photo dreams come true. I would chose your and your team over and over again. Love always, the savages ️

Honest storytelling meets editorial portraiture is the core of what I do. I love a powerful portrait as much as I love real, honest exchanges between loved ones. The big moments get all the attention but what really fills my cup is the small, fleeting moments in between. Your wedding day is just 24 short hours & I want you to relax, be present, & soak it all up. Trust that I will be your eyes & ears, observing it all & documenting your day as it unfolds organically. Because in the end, your photographs will be the memory you are left with & the best ones will not only remind you of what the day looked like, but what it FELT like to be there.

Briana did an amazing job capturing special moments from our wedding. We couldn't be happier with our photos! Nothing felt posed or overproduced, and it resulted in natural, artful photos that beautifully captured all of the emotions of the day. Briana and her team also had such a calming presence on the day of the wedding, and it made me feel at ease, as I don't always love being in the spotlight or being photographed. Briana is incredibly talented, and we're so grateful that she was part of capturing our wedding day!
