I have been to The Fleur De Lis for two events and both have been wonderful. It is a very cozy yet modern and classy atmosphere. The venue is so beautiful you may feel you don’t need to spend as much on your own decorating for the event. There is plenty of spacious room for seating and food tables. Plus it is at a great location and very convenient. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for a small to a large gathering.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the BCPA. Brian was a pleasure to work with. Very professional, quick with returning emails, & made sure to answer all my questions. The venue was beautiful, very clean and big enough to accommodate our large wedding party. Highly recommend to anyone looking to turn a blank canvas into a work art.

We had our wedding at IWU and had a wonderful experience, especially since Evelyn Chapel is such a beautiful place. IWU provided facility coordinators to help iron out details during the wedding process and oversee on the wedding day, and Anna was fantastic to work with. IWU also provides a musician for the ceremony, and working with Lisa was also amazing. We had our reception at the Young Main Lounge and everything was seamless. The caterer is through Sodexo and our guests have not stopped complimenting the meal. Having our wedding at IWU made our day unique and run so smoothly, and we highly recommend it to any couple!

The Barrel Room

5.0

Normal, IL
  • Up to 175 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $7,000

An area once reserved solely for the practical application of aging beers, and on occasion for private beer dinners, we opened up this space for guests to host private events such as ceremonies, receptions, showers & rehearsal dinners. Located within DESTIHL Brewery, the Barrel Room is where you’ll find something unique. Our modern-industrial space is perfect for the craft beer experience, a place where you’ll be greeted with our warm hospitality, and an experience unlike any other in Central Illinois.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Offers full-service amenities
  • Rustic-chic setting

Venue considerations

  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • No on-site guest accommodations
We really cannot recommend our experience with DESTIHL enough! We planned both an outdoor ceremony on the grounds, and our reception in the Barrel Room, and felt like we had the most wonderful wedding day with friends and family (especially impressive during the COVID-19 period). You simply cannot beat the quality of food and bar offerings that DESTIHL offers to its guest. That, accompanied by the exceptional service of all the staff we worked with on our big day, really made it such an easy day for us. The cherry on top of the service, is that the staff allowed for us to pull vehicles into a garage bay to leave our reception as it was pouring rain outside - they truly went above and beyond. We are so excited to be working with them again next year, for our full reception for our first anniversary!
