We interviewed a few top photographers in the area and ended up choosing Gangi Photography for a few reasons but the main one was how organized they were (I am super type A). My husband and I were planning a wedding during a pandemic and across the country and we were totally worried about EVERYTHING. Tim and Mercedes did everything they could to help us. “Claire was amazing!! She is so sweet and personable, right from the very first email exchange. Her rates are very reasonable and transparent, and she even helped us customize a package that worked best for our wedding. We had two pre-wedding sessions to go over the details, list of photos needed, and all the logistics, and she was very accessible via email throughout the process. She emailed me two days before the wedding letting me know that she had scoped out the venue and the surrounding area to find good photo spots, which made the day of so much smoother. We did our formal photos before the ceremony, and she corralled the family and wedding party professionally and kindly. She kept our spirits up and she wasted no time. Her assistant was also very professional and friendly, and they collaborated so well to get maximum photos at every angle. Claire made sure we had plenty of time for just the grooms, various locations and poses, and we got to have fun and create some really unique shots! During the ceremony I didn't even register that she was in the room, and yet we have beautiful photos of the entire thing, so she did a great job of staying out of the way while also getting all of the important shots! Throughout the cocktail hour and reception Claire and her assistant split off to maximize coverage, but I felt that one of them was always close by for a good shot. They also pulled us to the balcony to catch some beautiful shots at sunset, and those were absolutely worth it! Throughout the evening, if I found myself dancing or talking with someone I hadn't gotten a picture with yet, I could easily gesture or call to them to get our picture, and they also got plenty of other action shots. We received a "sneak peek" of about 50 photos within 24 hours of our event, and the full set of photos within 2 months. She gave us the time we needed to finalize our photo album, and had it published very quickly. We are so glad we chose Claire, she captured our day perfectly and was such a pleasure to work with.”

“Where do I even begin? When my husband & I first started wedding planning, we weren't even certain if videography was a must-have for us. But after a recommendation from our (equally brilliant) photographer and viewing about 30 seconds of one of their videos - which promptly reduced me to tears in the middle of work- I knew The Neskes would be a can't-live-without vendor for us. The Neskes create magic. They are somehow able to distill hours into minutes and seconds, capturing each couple's individual story, raw emotions and sheer joy. Every video is so uncannily representative of each couple, you feel you know their entire journey; they are somehow able to make each video distinct, yet so undeniably representative of the Neskes' unique style. Their videos are actual cinematic works of art - they capture that sensation of seeing flashes of your life as if you're watching your own life story on the big screen. From the carefully selected music that somehow seems to describe your innermost feelings, to the rapid bursts of moments - looks, laughter, tears, cheers, unbridled celebration - that makes up your day, there is so much raw talent and passion that goes into their work. Seeing our teaser trailer mere days after our wedding brought back all those sweeping feelings we felt that day, so much so that we replayed that video well into the night. Each re-watch uncovered some tiny moment we missed on the previous watch, and it was amazing to be able to rediscover the day every time. Even better, though, are Melissa & Steve themselves. There's a reason every review mentions that the Neskes are their new best friends, and mine is no different. They are the kindest, funniest, most calming and generous presence you could hope for (and they happily share their snacks with you when you start feeling peckish). Melissa was my sounding board throughout the entirety of my wedding planning process - until she became my every day sounding board. So responsive, kind, comforting and encouraging, it is unbelievable that such talented people are also such amazing human beings. And we are eternally grateful for their talent and presence in our lives. Practically speaking, they make the entire process so easy - it was oddly comforting having just one package to choose from, knowing we would get them for the entire day and wouldn't have to choose what kind/how many videos we would get at the end of it. I've since gotten to see our long-form and documentary videos, and have watched, re-watched, cried, laughed, cringed and cried some more. Getting to relive the speeches, the laughter, the joy, excitement, trepidation and tears through their discerning and creative eye(s) is truly such a gift.”
