For some unknown reason I have loved weddings since I was a kid. That’s the first thing. But then… I got married. And that is indescribable. So… if you happen to be here because you have met someone special, and you are making moves, CONGRATULATIONS! You really are in for the ride of a lifetime. So… my first photos? Yup. They were from a wedding! Unfortunately they took the human knee as their subject because I was short, because I was five years old. One auspicious day I brought a camera to a friends’ wedding. I partied. I had a fabulous time. Afterwards they told me I should have said something, my photos were better than the hired pro.

We hired Paul for our San Francisco wedding and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. In addition to beautifully (and creatively) capturing the energy and excitement of the day, Paul was also an absolutely pleasure to work with at ever step of the way. Our wedding was in San Francisco this past August and had approximately 65 people in attendance. To say that we had high expectations for our wedding photographer was an understatement: we wanted someone who would be able to capture the dynamic energy and emotion of our big day in a natural, joyful way. I am happy to say that Paul exceeded all of our expectations and then some. We initially reached out to Paul in February through his website and we scheduled an introductory phone call. At that time I was chatting with a few different photographers in the Bay Area but was impressed at Paul's thoughtful questions regarding our vision of big day as well as the logistical considerations (venue locations, lighting , size, etc). From our first meeting at his lovely home, Paul was kind, thoughtful, considerate which made us feel like we were in good hands and helped put us at ease during the craziness of the planning. He asked us to consider which moments would be most important to our wedding and helped us think through the logistics of the day. Paul was also helpful in planning some of the big day itself: we had scheduled a city tour with our guests to occur between the ceremony and reception but were unsure where to go in the city. He recommended locations that would be both enjoyable for our guests and would make good backdrops for photos. In addition to the city tour, the day itself had a lot of moving parts which could have been really challenging to photograph (indoor ceremony in City Hall, outdoor brass band parade in full sunlight, indoor reception with low lighting in small antique store). Paul and his second shooter were well prepared and able to shot gorgeous photos in every location. Paul was also very mindful of which moments would be most meaningful to us. For example, we had mentioned that we specifically wanted lots of dancing photos from the reception and so Paul made sure a remote flash lighting system was set up in the reception venue which made for some fantastic dance floor shots. We had also said that we wanted to make sure we had a lot of candid photos of our friends of family and so Paul made sure to mingle among our guests, putting them at ease and getting natural, candid photos of our loved ones. After the wedding, Paul was able to send us our sneak peaks only after 24 hours (!) and the full gallery a short time after that. At this point, I was already very impressed but what happened after that really blew me away: Paul emailed me a few weeks after the wedding to me to ask if he could photograph some details from the wedding that he wasn't able to get on the big day (handkerchiefs from the brass band parade, wedding invitations, etc). He told me that he felt that those details were important in telling the story of our wedding and he wanted to make sure they were captured. I realize that it would've been easy for Paul to simply send the photos he already had but the fact that he found it was important to capture all the small details really speaks to his thoughtfulness, professionalism and excellence. We can't thank you enough, Paul!

Located in SF. As a Photographer; I'm a storyteller. My imagery captures a harmony of raw emotion, authentic evanescent moments, and curated artistry. I believe in camaraderie with my couples to create beautiful memories, love stories shared over wine & a fire-pit and giving back with each wedding I book. I champion for kindness and giving back. My couples echo this right back. They are stylish, authentic and plan amazing details but also know how to pop the champagne and head to the dance floor.

Awarded Best of Zola
Animus-Art photography consists of two amazing humans, Pedro & B, who are even more perfect when they come together. Working with them on our engagement and wedding was nothing short of a fun adventure. My husband and I are not exactly naturals on camera, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at the images they captured. Pedro & B are fun, creative, passionate, hard-working and incredibly talented!! They go above and beyond to get the perfect shot! Their work is exceptional and speaks for itself. I couldn’t imagine the images being any more perfect. But aside from that, Pedro & B offer something truly special with their personalities and work ethic. They weren’t just our photographers- especially on the wedding day- they took on so many roles. They were like the best friend who never left our sight. While we were getting ready, Pedro spent much of the time with my husband and the boys, and B stayed with me and the girls. B was my superwoman on my wedding day. She wasn’t just one of my photographers - she was my maid of honor, my friend, my event coordinator, my personal assistant, my therapist. She just seemed to be there every second of the day, willing and ready to help out in every way. All this, while she snapped hundreds of beautiful, creative photos. Pedro is the kind of photographer who listens while you describe your ideal look to your hair dresser so that he can make sure it stays that way all night. And as he prompts you to fix your hair 3 hours into your reception, you smile with pride because you know you hired the best photographers in the world. The level of attention they pay to detail is unreal! They anticipate your needs before you even know about them. They capture real moments in a beautiful way. They know how to take photos while letting you be yourself- no constant stopping and prompting. In my opinion, those make for the best shots. They have so much fun doing what they do, it’s infectious. I am so so happy that they were our wedding photographers and hope to have them capture other important events in our future. Absolutely THE BEST!!!

Hello I'm Valeriia! With 15 years of experience as a fine art wedding photographer, I specialize in capturing moments of happiness and genuine emotion. My approach combines an artistic eye with a deep passion for storytelling, ensuring each image reflects the joy and beauty of the occasion. I strive to create stunning, heartfelt photographs that couples will cherish for a lifetime, blending elegance with spontaneity to make each moment unforgettable.

We just received our wedding photos from Valeria and can't stop looking at them. I am very glad that at the moment when I started choosing a wedding photographer, I was lucky to come across one of her works and understand that this is the person I am looking for. For me, searching process was very responsible and not easy at all, because I work in a related area and had a clear understanding of what result I want to get in terms of style, mood and locations. The budget was also an important factor. Finding a photographer who would meet all the requirements and will be free in our date seemed almost impossible… But after texting to Valeria and starting to talk about the details, I breathed a sigh of relief because I realised - that’s it! The shooting process was also very easy and intuitive, we collaborated as a single creative team and definitely had fun(: In addition, we fit perfectly into the timing, which also proves Valeria's professionalism. And I'm sure that this photoshoot is not the the last one we do with Valeria(:

Hiiii, I’m Taylor! Wife to my best friend, Golden Retriever mom to our Beckham, and outdoor enthusiast. My business was created purely out of passion. I’ve always had a love for photography, art and design. I first picked up a camera in 2009 during a high school film class and haven’t stopped shooting since. My photography is inspired by nature’s beauty and life’s beautiful details. I have an infatuation with natural light, details & beautiful scenery. I strive to create light-filled, romantic & timeless imagery, from capturing all the small details to the raw emotional moments. This is my dream job and I’m thankful for it every day.

I honestly cannot thank Taylor enough. As a "COVID bride" many things about our wedding did not go as planned and there were plenty of emotions that came with that. However, when I received my GORGEOUS photos from Taylor, it meant the world to me to have something beautiful, over the top, and PERFECT during a time when so many things have taken unexpected turns. She was so professional on the day of, fast, knew all the "good angles", and made us feel so comfortable! I cannot say enough about her. Not to mention so flexible with the fast-paced change of plans leading up to the wedding day. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I am a creative and passionate Elopement and Wedding Photographer who captures the moments you will look back on for a lifetime. Those raw, authentic, candid, just as they happened moments. These are the memories you will cherish and pass down through your family, to your children, and grandchildren. The memories you will print and hang up on your walls turning your house into a home. The moments you cannot re-live, but you can re-visit with each photograph. These are the cherished memories and moments I capture for you, and your loved ones.

Candance was extremely professional throughout the entire process of hiring her for our day. I was extremely stressed out and she offered help with the location and was extremely knowledgeable when it came to when we should plan around. We always knew we wanted a small intimate moment just for us, and she made it a moment that was uninterrupted, but that we could share with those who were not there. She helped with location, and timing, and knew everything to do with when the weather-wise would work best for what we wanted. She listened to us and was extremely friendly. The session was fun, and she guided us through everything in a way that didn't make us feel like we were in a photo shoot but a fun moment of our lives that we will cherish forever. The memories we have on film will last forever and cannot thank her enough for capturing these moments for us. If you are looking for a photographer who will listen to you, treat you with respect and make your day magical, don't even look at other photographers, Candance is exceptional at what she does and will make your day perfect.

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Sarah from Sarah Luther Photography. I specialize in weddings, family portraits and event photography. I started Sarah Luther Photography out of a passion for capturing love and emotion through photography. Growing up, my mom would always take tons of family pictures. I was given a camera as a gift when I was 10 years old and haven't been without one since. :)

Sarah and her husband Ori photographed our wedding in July and we couldn't be happier with our photos. They make a great team, professional and easy to work with. Amazing photographers who love what they do and its evident in their photos. We wanted more candid, natural pictures opposed to posed ones. They got so many unexpected moments and memorable shots. From getting ready, to the ceremony, to dancing at the receptions and everything in-between. All without even knowing that they were there taking pictures. We were so happy that we chose Sarah as our photographer and you will too!!! Thank You Sarah and Ori for photographing our wedding!!! Eydie & Rick

EucariosVisuals has been doing photography professionally for over 5 years and has shot over 200 wedding events! Our photography style is a timeless vibrant look and we will ensure to capture everything important to you on your wedding day.

Professional, attentive, patient, organized, great communication, hard working, and overall amazing. My wife and I hired Eucario to be the photographer for our wedding that ended as being one of our best decisions. Pictures of our wedding was a top priority, which is why we booked this service in the beginning while planning. I hired Eucario for 8 hours so that he captured photos prior to the wedding, during the ceremony, and during the reception. Weeks before the wedding, we also had a meeting to provide our preferences and better describe the plan for the event. The professionalism of him and his team was high-end as they made sure to take pictures of every angle of the event including pictures of our guests. I appreciated his willingness to go the extra length to work closely with my wedding coordinator, DJ, and other vendors when necessary. His knowledge of exactly when to be ready for particular moments such as sunset photos was perfect and giving direction to someone like myself who needs a lot of guidance was great. Post wedding, Eucario sent us our pictures in a very organized website styled album where we could easily download. The editing of our photos was very well done and something that I can imagine, takes photographers a lot of time. In summary, I would highly recommended Eucarios Visuals and thank him for helping us remember our special day.

I first picked up a camera in high school and was instantly obsessed with the process and possibilities of capturing images. I went on to study at The San Francisco Art Institute and transferred to The Art Center, College of Design in Pasadena, earning a BFA in Photography. I began my career as a photographer in a Los Angeles product photo studio. While working there, I found I had a talent for photo retouching. I worked as a professional retoucher for many years and know what many celebrities really look like hah! I made my way back to freelance photography after having my daughter in 2013.

We LOVED working with Gennan. Out photos are spectacular, abundant and just what we hoped for. I love that she schedules a call with you to discuss your style and vibes, to get to know you a bit. She was responsive through email prior to the big day, and I was so impressed she even brought some of the inspo pics I had sent for us to recreate. She was very professional while being easy and fun to shoot with! She even resent some photos that were B&W that we wanted in color. Edits were lovely. Now our only problem is trying to choose from so many favorites.

We love the challenge of producing such high-quality work for each individual because the emotional response is extremely rewarding for both our clients and our team. We would love to make introductions and chat with you about your wedding or special event.

Kevin was the best investment we made for our wedding. He went above and beyond for us. He stayed late at our wedding and gave us expert tips and tricks during our wedding to create a smoother event. The biggest problem I experienced during my wedding (and I assume most other do as well) was stress. Everything was flying at me and my then fiancé and the last person I expected to help comfort me and my wife and put our minds at ease was our videographer Kevin. He handled things with such ease and calmness. It honestly felt like he was the captain that kept out ship afloat. He’s more than a videographer. He helped organize and coordinate family/games/events during our wedding and truly did more than we could have ever asked for. Not to mention he even took incredible photos for us and had a entire edited album created for us the very next day. He displays the incredible professionalism and true care for his clients. I recommend his work to everyone and anyone. He is the best investment you could make for your most important day. My wife and I can’t thank him enough for what he did for us.

Taking pretty pictures is easy. But documenting the honest, emotionally raw, and laugh-out-loud, because you didn't know that happened pictures is where I really shine. Photographing hundreds of weddings has deepened my joy of authentic storytelling. It's also been a catalyst for my cake addiction so I hope you're cool with being an enabler.

I am writing this review wayyyy too late (over 2 years after my engagement photos were taken) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Betsy all the love and praise she deserves. Betsy photographed our engagement photos and would have done our wedding as well if she wasn’t already booked. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Betsy previously and she was always so fun, easy to work with and matched my energy on every level! She gets so excited when she knows she is ‘getting the shot’ that you can’t help but get excited too. I had a very specific vision for our engagement photos and she was 100% on board to make it happen. I love the photos so much and will treasure them forever as they document a very exciting time in our lives. I absolutely love working with Betsy and will definitely be booking her again in the future!

Hi! My names Marissa, and I have one of the coolest jobs around - hanging out with people on their wedding day! I love iced coffee and Jamie Fraser and spend my spare time reading or hanging out with my horse!

We had the best experience working with Marissa for our wedding! For one, she has an amazing personality - she is fun and lighthearted, so easygoing, AND also very responsible and on top of things (which I so appreciate)! For two, we had the unfortunate timing with COVID of having to postpone our wedding and our engagement shoot, and she made it super easy. She helped me many times in the planning process, from walking through the timeline, to picking out my bridesmaid dress color. Day of, she contributed so well to the fun vibe of the day, kept us on time and therefore not stressing out, and captured some AMAZING photos of us! She also captured so many awesome candids during our day, that looking back you can really see and remember how people felt, what the vibe of the day was, and the funny things that happened too (like when my friend spilled white wine on my dress and Marissa came to the rescue with napkins;)) Thank you so much Marissa!

Hey there! I’m Alana. I’m based in Northern California but willing to travel anywhere your love takes us. My awesome Hubby - Richard is my amazing right-hand man and my second shooter. We've been married since 2017 and together we form an awesome team to document all the important moments. We're just a couple in love who loves to document other couples in love :)

Alana Monét Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. From our initial consultation to the final delivery of our photos, their communication was efficient, timely, and personable. The quality of their work was truly exceptional - they were detail-oriented, capturing high-quality images that perfectly encapsulated the day the way we wanted to remember it. Alana and her husband were committed to ensuring our special day was documented beautifully. This couple was a blast to work with, and we hope to have the opportunity to get another set of photos done with them in the future!

Kathryn, a Modesto native, began her career as a teacher with Teach for America in the San Francisco Bay Area, and after years in the classroom was driven to nonprofit work. Her photography business was born out of the desire to continue that work while also being financially independent. Kathryn is incredibly thankful for that winding path, and for all the wonderful couples who have allowed this dream to become a thriving business. Kathryn absolutely loves getting to capture special moments all over California and beyond, and strives to create clean, classic images and build meaningful connections with couples. Y también, ella habla español.

Kathryn is wonderful! We did our engagement photos with her as well as our wedding photos. She was so easy to work with, never once added to the stress of such an important day and gave us hundreds of beautiful photos. Four years into our marriage and I still have our album bookmarked on my browsers to flip through often. I highly recommend Kathryn for all your photo needs and hope to work with her for every special event in our future. She was flexible, intuitive and never once felt intrusive during our ceremony but managed to capture so many perfect shots.

I was raised north of San Francisco in beautiful West Sonoma County. My wife and I moved back home after living in Oakland for a number of years, and are now raising our daughter in the home my wife grew up in - it's magical. I love finding new places to photograph in Sonoma County and beyond, and I love making new memories in the familiar places I know so well. Weddings make me giddy, and I can't get enough of that feeling. Besides photographing weddings and spending time with my family, I'm also a lecturer in photography at CSU East Bay. Teaching what I love is a true gift, and I'm grateful for this opportunity to share with my students.

Hire Zack!! Best decision I made throughout the wedding planning process. He shot our engagement shoot entirely on film, and our wedding on film and digital. He perfectly captured the vibe of the wedding. I knew he would deliver, but now being in receipt of these photos, I am in awe. He was able to capture the intimate, quiet moments, alongside the celebratory, lively moments. I loved the portraits he took of our friends and family (during the ceremony, listening to speeches, etc.), and the shots from the cocktail hour mingling and late night dancing. You can really feel the energy and love in his photos. Our wedding ended up running late (surprise), and we only had an hour to dance. Zack's contracted time ended before the dancing even started. He checked in with me, told me he was going to stay to capture the dancing, and head out after. This speaks volumes!! He is so thoughtful and just an all around great guy. The day of the wedding felt like a blur - a warm glow of love. Zack's photographs allow me to revisit this day with such clear, joyful memories, and I'm forever grateful.

I can tell you how I started shooting photos since I was a young wee lad, but that's what everyone else says and also it's not true. I didn't even pick up a camera until I was in high school. I'm the type of person who ignores convention and does it differently, my own way. Seldom the "right" way, but always the "Wong" way. My passion for creativity and my adeptness of the tech and the technical is what allows me to weave my craft and to produce art for my couples.

When my now husband and I were looking for a photographer, we made a tier list. After lots of weeding out of mediocre photographers, we narrowed our selections down to two. We resolved to contact the last two to see which one we wanted to go with. From the minute I first met Avery on zoom, I knew that I wanted to work with him. Not only are his photos phenomenal and extremely cinematic, they are somehow able to tell a story in the photo. I felt moved looking at some of his albums and I wondered how he was able to do that. When we actually got to working with him on our wedding day, I understood his process: He actually knows how to pose a model and gives clear instructions on where to put your hand, when to tilt head down, where to look, etc. This is what I was specifically looking for, as I've had some photographers who were just 'okay' that snapped away but gave no direction as to what to do. I think this is the mark of an excellent photographer and one who has clearly done many weddings. My butt looks great in all the photos. :) Also, I feel like I would qualify as a quirky bride, and he totally embraced that and took photos of my multiple plushies. That's a 100 in my book.

We are a destination wedding photographer and videographer husband & wife team who travels to wherever your story is taking place. We are located just north of San Francisco, California. Oftentimes this dream job of ours takes us to places like: Mendocino, Joshua Tree, Seattle & Mexico. We love to document small weddings and elopements in real time, capture couples in their element and ultimately be part of their village. We believe in communicating well and truly getting to know our couples. We do this so we can truly tell your story intentionally. We work as a team to storyboard your story even before your wedding day happens.

Jana took photos for our wedding in San Francisco and we absolutely loved working with her and her husband for the video! Jana and Eli really care so much about their clients and their excellence, dedication and hard work really shows all over. Communicating with Jana was so easy and she really made sure to know what we wanted as a couple and was super responsive whenever I had questions. Thank you so so much Jana and Eli! You guys have the biggest hearts and our wedding day was extra special because of you both!

I've never been much for tradition, so you can imagine weddings were never really my "thing" when I first picked up a camera. Luckily, I found that the wedding industry has been evolving away from the old cookie-cutter format and that is what keeps me doing what I do. My favorite weddings are the ones where you & your partner's personalities show throughout the day rather than getting lost in all the things you "have" to do. I love being part of a day filled with so much love & excitement and what I aim to do is find you in all of it. Because weddings aren't about fitting into a mold anymore - they're about you getting to celebrate your love.

In our search for a wedding photographer, Sarah's artistic style caught my eye right away. She offers a blended service of candid and semi-posed photographs which matched how we hoped to capture our wedding day moments. From our first phone call and in-person consultation, Sarah put us at ease. She helped organize our style preferences and 'must-capture' moments as we planned for the wedding. Her questionnaire helped bring focus in the planning phase and on the wedding day, we knew we were in good hands. I highly recommend Sarah's services, she has an eye for the little details you want to remember and she was discrete during the ceremony and reception while snapping candids (which I appreciated as someone who gets nervous in front of a camera!). We are so pleased with our photos and had a great time working together with Sarah.
