We were drawn to the documentary style of his work and thought it was a fitting way to remember a special moment in a basement of Chicago's City Hall. Leading up to the day, we texted and chatted about places to do portraits after and Samuel was very patient and helpful in suggesting places that felt right for me and my partner. Not only did he have the inside scoop on what the city hall ceremony was going to be like and what was going to happen, but he was also great to hang out with in line and and get to know better. “The Save the Date team went above and beyond to make our wedding the most amazing day. We communicated with Johnna leading up to the day and then Kat was with us for the rehearsal and day of. I can't say enough amazing things about them. When my flower girl got hurt at the rehearsal, Kat was there to keep us calm. The day of - we dropped off our 3 cars full of stuff and she took the few inspiration photos we had sent her and turned both venues into something beyond what we ever could have imagined. We got behind schedule with hair and makeup but Kat kept calm and continually reassured us that everything would be perfect . And is was. She did all the work and we truly got to enjoy our day. “Elegante Cuisine is one of the higher end catering companies in the area, so this was a splurge for us, but one that we do not regret. Good food and good music are two of the biggest factors in the guest experience, so it was worth it to us. Our tasting was awesome; their menu options are extensive but all the dishes seemed to be executed perfectly. They had catered at our venue many times, and seemed highly competent. During and since the wedding, many of our friends and family have raved to us that it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. Our entrees were the chicken asiago and the stuffed peppers (sooo good!). On the wedding day, Elegante staff took great care of us, even making sure we had hot, full plates and an assortment of our cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres ready when we entered the reception space. We worked with Trisha, who at times did not respond very effectively or efficiently to our questions/concerns/requests, but overall we are very happy with the services we received and us and all the guests were certainly well fed.”
