Zingerman’s Bakehouse is an artisanal bakery with a baking school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We started 30 years ago as a simple bread bakery with a single customer, Zingerman’s Delicatessen. I was working as a Store Manager at a clothing store, when I realized that I was miserable and couldn't see myself working in retail for the rest of my life. I went home to my husband and asked him what he thought that I liked to do and did well that I could turn into a business. He told me that I liked to bake, so why not do that? I decided that I would and that's how A-Mazion Cakes was born. I enrolled into some decorating classes at the bakery where I purchased my wedding cake and then decided that I would go to school for Pastry Arts.
