During our initial conversations, he was a super diligent listener and made sure to ask a lot of questions to make sure he got a feel for what we wanted out of the evening. He curated the music for the evening absolutely perfectly — we literally could not keep people off of the dance floor. The real kicker was that in my father's speech he mentioned that he and I used to sing Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" together in the car. I, of course, did not know this would be mentioned, but right as the speech ended Marcus had Maggie May queued up and played right into the chorus.
