Hi! I'm Alëna! I’ve been making videos for over 10 years now. I believe in sucking the joy out of life and documenting it. It’s by immersing myself in travel that my eyes were first opened to videography. Being an adoptee from another country I fell in love with the process of collecting memories. I feel that my exposure to changing environments has allowed me to appreciate things from various perspectives and remain calm and assertive in fast pace situations. Such as weddings!  I've been a videographer for 7 years now, and I absolutely love it. I have a passion for telling stories through my work, and I truly believe that every moment captured on camera is an opportunity to create something special. One of my favorite things to do is incorporate dramatic lighting into my imagery, whether I'm filming a wedding or taking couples' photos. I also love to travel and take photos of landscapes and other beautiful places. Whenever I go somewhere new, I always bring my camera along so I can capture every little moment. When I'm not working or traveling, I like to read and spend time with my best friend and our dog, Scout.

It all started with a beach wedding and a highlight film. That was my first wedding I filmed while I attended Penn State in 2002. During my college career, I got to film for THON, Penn State Athletics, and I was a Blue Band Videographer for 2 seasons. After I graduated, I worked for Penn State Sports Marketing. I had the privilege to create promotional videos for GOPSUSports GoPSF, Bryce Jordan Center, and Beaver Stadium's scoreboards. This experience covering events has prepared me for what I do now, running my video production business. I have been filming weddings for awesome couples since 2014!

I have been involved in the "arts" since I was a child. It wasn't until I graduated high school when I really started to pick up a camera. It stated with photography when a friend of mine asked me to take photos of him for instagram. From that point on it was addicting. I later met someone who was interested in hiring me to do videography for his wedding. Growing up I have always said that there isn't any project too big. So I took this challenge and kicked it in the butt. They were extremely pleased and that's what started the videography business.

I have spent years in hospitality, fine dining, IT support, you name it. And the most important through-line in my work has been relationships. Relationships you make with people are sometimes more important than the job you do, not to dismiss the job as something to be sloppy with, but to say there is only so far that accomplishing the job can make a person feel seen and heard and special. And I feel there is no more important nod to that philosophy than weddings, where sure you can just make a wedding film and it will look good, but to truly get this once in a lifetime event and art project something TRULY special!
