Candace Shiflet Photo

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,790
  • Serves Palermo, CA for additional fees

Hi, I'm Candace and I have a thing for weddings! I didn't start as a wedding photographer, I actually started as a BIRTH photographer surprisingly! I was addicted to capturing real and raw moments for families to have and relive over and over. I actually was nervous for weddings, which is why I didn't start doing them. One thing led to another and as people started asking me if I WOULD shoot their wedding, I decided to give it a try. Fast-forward to dozens and dozens of weddings later and I am obsessed!! I am a full fledged wedding photographer and I LOVE capturing every single moment of your day. The addiction is real!!

Awarded Best of Zola
I would hands down recommend Candace any day! She’s so professional but also kind, personable, and fun. She’s great at communicating and making sure info is sent out before the day of. She responds quickly and was always willing to answer questions. Usually you find someone who is one or the other-great work but lack of communication or not personable. Or very personable and fun but work and communication etc is so so. Not with Candace, she’s the whole package and worth every penny! She just has an eye for it and a way to make pictures look so natural and not super cheesy posed which was important to me. I plan to use her again in the future!

Photography By Cambrae

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $950
  • Serves Palermo, CA for additional fees

I am a Portland native through and through! My love for photography rivals only my love of traveling. My interest in photography began at a young age, thanks to my Uncle and 8th grade math teacher. After over 18 years of experience, I have mastered the art of putting my clients at ease and creating an environment for them to be present and most importantly be themselves. I have a deep passion for not only the images I create but for the people I work with. I truly consider it an honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day and the images we create together become reflective memories for the couple, not just snapshots in time.

Awarded Best of Zola
Cambrae was very easy and fun to work with. She is very professional and good at communicating. The photos are so amazing and the prices are totally reasonable. Highly recommend!

Please reach out via the contact page on my website to connect! // I'm a digital & film photographer living in NYC capturing weddings, couples, and life around me. I approach photography intentionally, and am emotionally driven behind the camera. I’m all about those in-between candids and documenting in the moment, as well as artful editorial guided posing. I love making genuine connections with people, and the natural friendships that can come from working together! Approaching your wedding photography as an art form is just a small part of why I absolutely love what I do.

Awarded Best of Zola
My (now) husband and I could not recommend Rebecca of Four Doves enough. I actually discovered her through Instagram - she had posted absolutely beautiful wedding photos of another couple who got married at our venue, Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY. When we met for our initial consultation, we were thrilled to find out she lived in NYC, as that's where we wanted out engagement pictures taken. Rebecca is extremely knowledgeable about all the "hot spots" to take engagement pictures around the city. You may have to be up early to beat the crowds, but you will not be disappointed with the photos. Between our engagement photos and wedding, Rebecca kept in touch with us and was extremely helpful with any last minute questions we had. Prior to our wedding day, we filled out a questionnaire, wedding timeline, and provide a list for family portraits. This not only helped me organize for the big day, but it helped the day of run so smoothly. Rebecca is the type of person, who, when you meet her, you instantly want to become friends with her. Your wedding day will be a breeze and you will relive every moment through you're beautiful photographs.

Arie T. Photography, LLC

4.9

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,995
  • Serves Palermo, CA for additional fees

Welcome to Arie T. Photography, a black queer woman-owned and operated traveling portrait and wedding photography service based out of the Georgia and Michigan! I've had the honor of capturing all walks of life across the USA with hopes of taking it worldwide. I'm known for my use of natural light, and "unposed” stress-free approach when it comes to my clients. If you feel like you’re awkward in front of the camera, I’ll take that as a challenge to prove you wrong because I can be awkward too.

Awarded Best of Zola
I was matched with Arie through what was called Tolman Media at the time. I had huge fears and reservations just having a photographer chosen for one of the biggest days of your life but Arie was spectacular. She helped me from the very beginning setting up a phone meet and great to discuss what was important to my husband and I. She then lit up the room with her personality and professionalism on our big day. She met everyone exactly where they were and made sure everyone felt comfortable. Our wedding pictures are absolutely perfect and I couldn’t have picked a better photographer myself! Thanks Arie!

Most of Daniela's work centers around the human experience, our shared existence, and the quest for revealing the truest form of each person that she documents.

Awarded Best of Zola
Dani and I have known each other for 15 years, which is wild within itself. I’ve watched her photography journey for a long long time. Which is why the second we got engaged I KNEW we would hire her. We had an engagement shoot, as well as an “our day” vow shoot. Let me tell you, my husband and I are very much “guide us and we’ll follow” people. We’re indecisive, we’re go with the flow people, and that’s not always easy to work with. Dani from day one has guided us and taken care of EVERYTHING. From giving us options/ideas and brainstorming, to nailing the plans in place once we decided what we wanted to do. We had our vow day shoot in the Dolomites in Italy. Sebastian and I have never traveled like that together and Dani literally planned everything including what hike we were taking and timelined everything out. Which is exactly what we explained we needed and were looking for when working with her. She took everything we wanted and what we explained we wanted each experience to be like, and she nailed it. Nailed the photos. Nailed the locations. Nailed being an all around fantastic and easy person to work with. She also stayed in contact with us throughout the entire 2 years we have been planning together. She was our cheerleader, our planner, our listening ear, without a doubt I would recommend her to everyone and anyone. Not to mention these photos are to die for, and everyone is obsessed!

Empowering You Photography

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Palermo, CA for additional fees

I'm Emily - a Pittsburgh-based wedding photographer set on capturing intimate, joyful, authentic, & emotional photos. I want you to look back on your wedding photos not just love the way they look, but I want you to remember what the moment felt like. My hope is for you to feel the way your loved one hugged you as they gave you away, to laugh as you look back at the best man giving his speech...every captured moment has a feeling. I will do my best to stop those moments in time for you to experience forever. I am witty, goofy, sarcastic, open-minded, & honest. I will be your ultimate third wheel.

Awarded Best of Zola
If I could go up to everyone to suggest Emily til my lungs gave out, I would. We used her for our engagement photos and wedding photos, and I want to use her for all my life events. Her photos are obviously what drew me in at first, but once I met her, it was her personality. She is so bright, she makes you feel like you're her new best friend. She is fun, energetic, and efficient (which we love, since my husband hates photos). Emily not only acted as my photographer the day of my wedding, but was also my hype woman, and support person. She made me feel calm in the chaos. She made me feel beautiful. I think when you are a beautiful person inside and out like her, it's an easy thing to do. You know you have a gem when everyone is coming up to you to tell you how "your photographer is so awesome". She captured some of the most beautiful, vulnerable, moments during that day and turned them into a story and I love that she could be apart of such a special day.

Madison Wilson Photography was a fantastic photographer for our wedding. She was very responsive and thorough in her communication with us leading up to the big day, answering all of our questions in detail. On the wedding day itself, Madison was fast and efficient at taking photos, while still making sure to capture all the special moments. She gave clear directions for posing and navigating the family dynamics and crowds with ease. The photos Madison delivered were beautiful - bright, crisp images that perfectly captured the joy and love of our special day. She was able to edit and deliver the final wedding photos very quickly. We discovered Leah on Zola, and right from our first conversation, we knew she was the one. Her experience and artistic eye were exactly what we wanted to capture our dream wedding. Leah made the whole process stress-free with her clear communication and warm personality. On the big day, Leah walked into a whirlwind of activity, but she calmly focused and started capturing the magic. She helped me stay relaxed and assured me everything would be perfect – I'll never forget that. Leah's photos are simply breathtaking. She's a true artist who captured every detail just as I imagined. She made sure we had time for portraits, but also caught those spontaneous, joyful moments that made our day so special. We are beyond thrilled with the photos Leah delivered. The cherry on top was seeing how excited Leah was at the wedding – she even quickly edited a photo on the spot! It showed she was genuinely invested in our happiness. Can't wait to work with Leah again for our future big life-moments!

Raw By Laura

My name is Laura and I am bilingual (English/Spanish). I moved to Arizona in the beginning of 2022 from New Jersey. It has been bittersweet to redefine myself in a new state. One thing I absolutely refused to leave behind is my love for photography. I moved here with my husband for a change of speed. It has been such a beautiful change! Just like you, I too am in love with the views Arizona has to offer. I am a nontraditional wedding photographer, I am there for all the feels that come with your big day. The tears, the smiles, the laughs, the dancing... Moody, warm and candid photography. Photos to make you relive the moments later

I discovered Laura's work on my Instagram and immediately fell in love with it. Her style was warm and soothing, and I was excited to collaborate with her. The booking process was seamless; she was highly professional and fully understood my vision. I felt fortunate because she had previously shot at our location, Lost Dutchman State Park, and I could use some of her past work for reference. On the day of our wedding, Laura arrived on time and remained professional throughout. That same night, we received a sneak peek of some of my favorite photos. Our wedding was a surprise elopement, and everyone absolutely loved the pictures. We received the final edits promptly and were showered with compliments. Laura played a big part in making my day special, and I look forward to working with her again in the future.

Hey there! Since you are trusting me to capture these special moments in your life, I figured you should probably know a bit about me, right? I am a Huntsville, Alabama native, but moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2013. ROLL TIDE! Although I consider Nashville home, I am anything but a homebody. I love traveling and exploring new places (especially the food at those places!). I even studied abroad in Italy, which let me tell you, was a food lover's dream. I have always felt like an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body. I would rather listen to Frank Sinatra than anything on the radio today.

Awarded Best of Zola
My now husband and I had the joy of getting to use Diana for our engagement shoot as well as our wedding. Although our wedding and engagement shoot were out of state for her (and the wedding for us), she managed to not only get breathtaking pictures that captured all of the best moments flawlessly but she also remained organized, professional, fun and relaxed the whole time. She gives great direction and has an eye for capturing the best shots and communicated actively to make sure we were all on the same page. Diana was super helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy with everything. Highly recommend Diana if you want beautiful, timeless pictures :)

Venture Ever After

4.9

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,400
  • Serves Palermo, CA for additional fees

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + intimate weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people in love have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.
