Tomi Photopositive

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,400
  • Serves Oswego, IL for additional fees

Hello, I'm Tomi! Wedding Photographer based in Denver, Colorado. I capture authentic, creative and emotionally driven wedding moments. My photography style has a good mixture of traditionally posed photos and so many unique candid shots, all edited with the more true-to-life color editing style. My business, Tomi Photopositive, is built around my fun, positive and extrovert personality, that will make you feel comfortable and stress free during your entire wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Tomi was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. His communication style is sensitive, direct, thoughtful, kind, and friendly - they truly felt like a friend at our wedding who loved taking pictures. The quality of their work is nothing short of perfection, with visionary, long-lasting images that captured all the little details we didn't even think about, like asking guests to hide their phones or stand up straight. Tomi went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day ever, and we are overjoyed with the stunning photos that will allow us to relive our special day for years to come. Having him at the wedding felt like having a friend there who was passionate about clicking the best pictures for you, rather than a business transaction. He gets along with your guests better than you do. Everyone was asking about him at the end. Now I can’t imagine having another photographer. He has spoilt us, and I will literally reach out to him for every single event we want photographed, he’s become a staple name, synonymous with photography.

From our first interaction, Sean and his team at Portraits By Sean were prompt, personable, and clear in their communication. Their exceptional, professional, and quick work captured the essence of our special day perfectly. Sean was laid back and brought great energy to our wedding, seamlessly capturing all the important moments without ever being intrusive. We had nothing but a positive and truly exceptional experience working with Sean from start to finish. Not only were our photos top-notch, but he took the time to get to know us as a couple and was able to beautifully document all the candid, unscripted moments that made our wedding day so memorable. I'd give Sean 10 stars if I could!

Hi, I'm Kristen and I'm so excited you are here! I've been a wedding photographer for 17 years with hundreds of weddings under my belt. Diversity and inclusivity are very important to me both personally and professionally, so no matter who you are I want to document your love story.

Awarded Best of Zola
I could not more highly recommend Kristen! Kristen was one of the very first vendors that I booked for my August 2024 wedding and I could not be more happy in that decision. Kristen's style is timeless and true to color. She focuses on capturing the day as it happens rather than focusing only on super posed shots- which I love! Kristen's communication is clear, prompt, and honest- I so appreciated her insight through the wedding planning process and especially in developing the timeline. We also received far more sneak peeks than we expected and I'm still shocked with how quickly we received our full gallery! Kristen, we are so happy you were there to capture our day!

Arie T. Photography, LLC

4.9

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,995
  • Serves Oswego, IL for additional fees

Welcome to Arie T. Photography, a black queer woman-owned and operated traveling portrait and wedding photography service based out of the Georgia and Michigan! I've had the honor of capturing all walks of life across the USA with hopes of taking it worldwide. I'm known for my use of natural light, and "unposed” stress-free approach when it comes to my clients. If you feel like you’re awkward in front of the camera, I’ll take that as a challenge to prove you wrong because I can be awkward too.

Awarded Best of Zola
Wow, where to begin! Arie did a phenomenal job as our wedding photographer! We found Arie through the business Once Like A Spark, and with scheduling her short notice (2 weeks before the wedding), she did an amazing job capturing our vision and style. We honestly love each photo she took and had a really difficult time choosing 60 out of 500 for our album! Arie communicated really well before and throughout the wedding day, was on time to capture getting ready photos, and was attentive throughout the whole night. We admired how she took creative liberty and made sure to capture all the key moments as well as the small, sweet moments too. Even during dinner time, Arie made sure we got photos with each guest, which we greatly appreciated. While we only spent one day together, Arie seems like such a great person with a passion for capturing wedding days with love, care, and a dash of humor. Definitely book Arie for your next event, you won't regret it!

Hi! I'm Sarah. Congratulations on taking the next step in your wedding planning! Choosing to work with me earns you more than just a photographer; you get a hype-girl, a dress fluffer, a confidant and a new best friend. Since we are now future besties, here's what you should know about me: My love for portraiture stems from the joy it brings me to make others feel beautiful. Few things make me feel as giddy as photographing weddings, engagements & proposals, and I can't wait to capture the next stage of your love story. My strengths lie in natural lighting, illuminating colors, and catching the candid moments that make you, you.

Awarded Best of Zola
There is not enough good things we can say about Sarah! From day 1, she had great communication before the proposal while deciding the perfect location and how we would meet up with her. She executed flawlessly and I never saw her until the ring was on my finger even though she followed us for a bit before the big moment. She made us feel so comfortable for the photoshoot after and was willing to go to a few different spots with us all while carrying all of our stuff so it wouldn’t be in our pockets for the pictures. We received the sneak peeks the next day and were blown away with how well they turned out, she nailed it!! She got the big “I do” moment which was most important and then captured so many other sweet moments right before and after that I will forever be so grateful we can relive because of her photos. The best thing about her is that you can feel the joy coming out of the screen when you look through her galleries. So many people have raved over how well our engagement photos turned out. Everyone should book Sarah, she is so great at what she does!!

Leah Flores Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Oswego, IL for additional fees

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, two dogs, and four cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I turn 9 this year 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
I could write a book about Leah; or at least a very detailed blog post but I'll try to keep it shorter! As a fellow professional photographer, I got the opportunity to meet Leah and work with her as her 2nd photographer on a wedding. It took that one amazing experience and absolute blast of a time to know that whenever it was I got married she was THE photographer for me. Fast forward some years later it was finally my turn to tie the knot and my now husband and I chose our date based on when Leah was available, because there was no other option for me! I have gotten to work with dozens of photographers throughout my going on 10 year career, and I'm telling y'all, it doesn't get better than Leah. The photos - amazing! I love her eye for details, the crispness, the colors! Not to mention she is such a beautiful soul with the best personality and energy, with the professionalism to get a gallery worth of beautiful photos with you barely realizing she's there. While going through our gallery, I was stunned and overjoyed so many times to see things I had NO idea happened or even photos of people that I unfortunately didn't get to spend much time with yet seeing that they still enjoyed themselves. In my opinion, a photographer is the most important vendor you can choose for your wedding day. I am so thankful my experience in the wedding industry allowed me to cross paths with Leah because that made a really important decision very easy for me. And I hope my review can help other soonlyweds out there make a hard decision easier. You will not go wrong choosing Leah to photograph your big day!

Diana Marie Photography

Hey there! Since you are trusting me to capture these special moments in your life, I figured you should probably know a bit about me, right? I am a Huntsville, Alabama native, but moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2013. ROLL TIDE! Although I consider Nashville home, I am anything but a homebody. I love traveling and exploring new places (especially the food at those places!). I even studied abroad in Italy, which let me tell you, was a food lover's dream. I have always felt like an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body. I would rather listen to Frank Sinatra than anything on the radio today.

Awarded Best of Zola
Diana was absolutely amazing and I would 100% recommend her to anyone with no hesitation. From initial contact on, Diana was understanding of our concerns, given that we had had an issue with a previous photographer, and truly worked to reassure us and gain our trust. She was flexible, so positive and personable and of course, the photos we’ve seen so far are absolutely gorgeous and we can’t wait to see the rest. Our friends and family raved about Diana and her assistant Sarah, and told us how wonderful and friendly they were, that they felt like they were really on top of it, addressed any concerns that they had and just overall were an absolute pleasure to be around and had such a positive impact on our day. If you’re reading this and are on the fence about hiring Diana, which I don’t understand how you could be, let this be your sign to work with her. You will have no regrets and you will absolutely love your photos!

What if your photos actually looked and felt like you? Picture yourself 10 years from now on your wedding anniversary looking back at your wedding album with tears welling up in your eyes as you relive your day. Soda Fountain Photo

I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. Give me intimate micro-weddings, quirky dive bar weddings, raucous South Asian weddings... my team and I absolutely thrive in chaos and emotion. My specialty is catching the moments and those tiny moments in between. ✨✨✨

Awarded Best of Zola
I can’t recommend Soda Fountain Photography highly enough! Book Mysi, that’s all I can say! First and foremost her photos are gorgeous. It was extremely important to us to have bright, vibrant, dynamic photos to match our Palm Springs setting; as soon as I saw Soda Fountain’s Instagram I knew I had found the only photographer for us. We are definitely not models but Mysi made us feel so comfortable, confident and relaxed that we look our absolute best in our photos and she really captured the emotions of the day. I was thrilled to see how stunning our photos turned out! Mysi is also extremely professional. The planning process was made easy, she always answered my many questions and on the wedding day she was right on time. I really felt like she went above and beyond to insure that our day ran smoothly and that we enjoyed the photography process. I will always be grateful to Soda Fountain Photography for being a part of our day and for capturing every moment so beautifully!

Gabbie Burseth Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Oswego, IL for additional fees

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!

Hi there! I’m Emma CotéEwers, your East Coast & Destination Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer! My work is a seamless blend of traditional heirloom portraiture, lively artistic shots, and a little photojournalism if the day calls for it. With a true-to-color, film-inspired approach, I strive to craft visuals that capture love, laughter, and those beautifully authentic moments that weave together the story of your wedding! I feel like these should include fun facts? Patsy Cline’s Walkin’ After Midnight is my favorite song and I am currently on my 8th nostalgic binge of Gilmore Girls (which might just be fueling my banter lately).

I cannot say enough good things about Emma - she is always flexible, knowledgeable, and shows up with the best energy to every event! When I wasn’t sure where I wanted to take bridals, she was happy to make suggestions based on the vibe I was going for - and I very much appreciated one less thing on my plate! She delivers high quality, beautiful photos every single time and is the artist behind so many of my most cherished memories! I would absolutely recommend Coté and Camera - you won’t regret it!
