I married a great couple at the Grand a few weeks ago, and it was handles just beautifully! The inside ceremony space is really pretty, (and having an alternative on a day when the garden is not a possibility is real plus), the cocktail hour area is really fun and "pub-like" with plenty of room for stations and a gorgeous bar. The staff there (our Maitre 'd was Sal) were so easy to work with and kept the proceedings moving along seamlessly. It's a terrific place to have a party, and I can't wait to be back again!

We had the pleasure of hosting our intimate wedding for just over 50 guests at the Renaissance Event Hall in May 2024. The event space is beautiful— although the surrounding area is a bit rough, it’s a space that’s large enough to really bring your vision to life. Originally, our ceremony was supposed to be held on the outdoor patio but after a “rain plan” rehearsal we decided to have the ceremony indoors to make use of the beautiful grand staircase. Affordable space— for NYC? Absolutely. Food— great! Bar— great! Staff— amazing! Shout out to Larry for the amazing lighting. Both Larry and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure guests were served, comfortable, and having a great time. My only wish was that there was a separate groom suite that’s apart from the bridal suite. Here we had to use a foldable partition to separate the bride side from the groom side. Also, our rehearsal was double booked with another wedding party the day before our wedding which was a bit disappointing having to wait and navigate around their rehearsal to complete ours. However, this just seemed to be a simple miscommunication between Lisa and her assistant which I’m hoping won’t be the case with another bride/groom. Overall, it was the perfect space to host our wedding. Lisa was such a pleasure to work with and had such great insights on how to bring together the event in a manner that made the best use of the space. Thank you to the Renaissance Event Hall team!

We had a wedding of 80 or so guests and the venue was perfect for that size. This is a historic building with old school salons and library rooms available for amazing photoshoots and the chandeliers in each room make for an amazing ambiance. Working with Marc, the venue manager, was amazing. He was so attentive and responsive from start to finish and he really care about all the couple he work with. The venue was great but it was working with Marc that really made the whole experience for us. He’s a gem!

My husband and I got married two weeks ago at The Sanctuary and had the best night! Our guests loved the many features of the venue (the pier, patio, tent, and indoor space), complimented the food and drinks, and we were all extremely impressed by the high quality service provided by the bartenders and waiters. Working with Amelia and Kat on the day was a pleasure and we couldn’t thank them enough for supporting us as we got set up that morning, and throughout the day. Our wedding day was the first time we interacted with either of them, and it was a pleasant surprise to have so much support on our side. Throughout the planning process we worked closely with Alfonso. Alfonso does a great job selling The Sanctuary and was available to answer our questions along the way. There were definitely some things we needed to dig into a bit more than we thought we’d have to - creating a detailed timeline for the day based a few examples provided, develop clearer floorplans of the venue for our vendors to ensure they understood the space, putting together a table map for our dinner setup, renting/purchasing the sound equipment needed for our ceremony on the pier, finding an alternative rehearsal space, and hiring a day of coordinator to support with decor, set-up, flow, and cleanup. Reading other reviews of the venue was super helpful to ensure we were asking the right questions and following up on pieces that seemed unclear. If you’re looking for an affordable (relative to the rest of NYC), dynamic, and interesting wedding venue, and you’re willing to put in the work or hire a wedding planner, this is definitely a great contender!

The Penthouse was a wonderful venue for our wedding reception. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and responsive throughout the planning process, making sure all of our questions were answered and needs were met. On the big day, our bridal attendant went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and served promptly to our guests. The Penthouse itself provided a beautiful, intimate setting for our celebration with close friends and family. We loved having both indoor and outdoor spaces for guests to mingle. Overall, we were extremely happy with our choice to host our reception at The Penthouse and would highly recommend them to other couples planning a wedding.

The Foundry is a beautiful venue and so easy to work with! Angela and Lindsey were so helpful and responsive. We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting, it was just perfect. My ONLY complaint is that even though they do not book any other events for the same time, they charge extra to book any rooms in addition to the main space and courtyard.

Skylark was the best possible venue we could have booked for our wedding reception, full stop. Throughout the booking process, they were always highly responsive and professional. They invited us back for drink tastings, for catering option tastings, and even once got my now-wife and her two friends a table on a crowded Saturday night without a reservation. All in all, the venue itself is amazing. We lucked out and got the rooftop for our cocktail hour which we extended an extra 45m 'til sunset and our guests loved taking photos. The main dance area / bar of Skylark is fashionable, chic, and has a certain vibe that meshed perfectly with what my wife and I were looking for. They also have excellent side-rooms for the wedding party to take a moment to decompress in a cool leather-bound corner apartment with its own bar, bathroom, and changing area. The were a few things that really caught my attention as we were touring for the first time: the downstairs entrance is dark, moody, and intentionally a bit industrial which really helps set a New York vibe. Upstairs, I noticed our tour guide thought the music was a touch too loud in one of the side-rooms, so he immediately tweaked the volume down a notch on their iPad music controls. The drinks were excellent (we opted for the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and the French 75 for our wedding cocktails). We also came back to sample the food options (we went for a cocktail-style dinner with phased courses throughout the night), & they were all incredibly delicious thanks to Skylark's partnership with Abigail Kirsch. Lastly, our coordinator was Phil Montana and he is one of the best parts of our experience. He has exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and a warm & empathetic personality. I would also like to recognize the staff who were all wonderful in taking care of us & our guests throughout the night. If you are on the fence, I would highly suggest a tour. When we booked, Skylark did not have a ton of reviews either on Zola or on The Knot, so this review is my way of encouraging any readers to give it a shot -- if you are looking for a fashionable, chic New York wedding experience, The Skylark really cannot be beat. I'm looking forward to returning periodically as regular customers as well!

My husband and I got married at Bryant Park Grill in late January and had the BEST night of our lives. Here are the highlights: 1. We worked with Emma, who was a pleasure to work with from Day 1. She is extremely patient, knowledgeable, flexible, and professional. We asked for many custom arrangements and she said yes to EVERYTHING we asked for! She was very responsive and made the planning process as easy as possible. 2. The space itself is stunning. It does not need any flowers, special lighting, or decoration - it is beautiful on its own without any adornment. We loved every nook and cranny of the venue. The tent are was gorgeous and gave guests spectacular views of the city, park, and skyline. The restaurant itself is gorgeous - great lighting, elegant, sophisticated, classy, etc. The space has a 'warm' feel, not sterile like some other wedding venues we visited. The location was very convenient, as well. 3. The food was fantastic! Many of our guests said that this was the best wedding food they had ever tasted!
