The crowning glory of the club is the three-story Great Hall. With its vaulted ceiling, massive stone fireplace, and stained-glass windows featuring heraldic crests of the great universities of the world, it's reminiscent of many a European cathedral. Light from the floor-to-ceiling windows warms the redwood paneling and suffuses the Hall in a golden glow. Two charming smaller spaces are also available for functions. The Heyns and Seaborg rooms (named respectively after a chancellor and a distinguished University Nobel Laureate) both have French doors leading to a private outdoor area with a garden view. I’ve always been the girl with the camera. In high school, my idea of a good time was planning photoshoots with my friends and editing our high school yearbook. But when I got to college, I felt like I needed to get a practical degree, so I chose the most creative business major I could find – marketing. Then I met Thomas. My photo hobby became something more because he recognized my passion and encouraged me to make it a reality. He’s been my second shooter since the very first wedding.

I love romance and I want to reflect that in my images. Aside from posed editorial type images, my couples do a lot of interaction with each other, allowing me to produce images that reflect true joy, love and emotions. I married my husband twice, not because we were divorced but because our first wedding was at a courthouse, and on 1st year anniversary, we renewed our vows in front of 100s of our family and friends. We have 2 beautiful daughters that keep us on our toes. And when I am not photographing weddings, I work as a nurse in the emergency room.

Right after graduating from CSU Sacramento in 2012 (with a BA in Photography, might I add!), I did photography as a side-hustle while working a couple of various jobs: part-time as a Summer camp counselor and full-time at a medical device company. After getting married in 2016, I moved to Modesto with my husband since he was working there at the time. Because of the move, I had to leave my jobs in the East Bay. I took this move to the Central Valley as a sign that I should do photography full-time. So, since 2017, I've been a full-time wedding photographer. We are now in beautiful Sonoma County!

The Club at Castlewood resides on the former estate of California's most beloved hostess, Phoebe Apperson Hearst. Her mansion, La Hacienda del Pozo de Verona was built in the 1890's, The mansion was designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan, the architect for the Hearst Castle at San Simeon. After her death in 1919, her son, William Randolph Hearst, maintained the property. In 1924, he sold it to a group of businessmen who turned it into a Country Club. Two Golf Courses were added, one on the hillside in 1926, and one in the valley in 1948. The Porte Cochere and entryway with its large doors offers an appealing and engaging sense of old-fashioned charm while the Spanish tiled grand lobby is reminiscent of a by-gone era.
