Built in 1902 by the renowned architect Bernard Maybeck in traditional Arts and Crafts style, it's designed to create a cozy, intimate feeling. The crowning glory of the club is the three-story Great Hall. With its vaulted ceiling, massive stone fireplace, and stained-glass windows featuring heraldic crests of the great universities of the world, it's reminiscent of many a European cathedral. Light from the floor-to-ceiling windows warms the redwood paneling and suffuses the Hall in a golden glow. Two charming smaller spaces are also available for functions. The Heyns and Seaborg rooms (named respectively after a chancellor and a distinguished University Nobel Laureate) both have French doors leading to a private outdoor area with a garden view. The Faculty Club has been serving its members and guests for over 100 years and will do everything possible to make your event successful and enjoyable.

The Faculty Club was a pleasure to work with. They're very professional and have great insights into different setups and options. They worked with all our vendors and made sure all items we needed were provided. Setup and breakdown were also done in an efficient manner and very happy with our cocktail hour on the glade and dinner inside.

I’ve always been the girl with the camera. In high school, my idea of a good time was planning photoshoots with my friends and editing our high school yearbook. But when I got to college, I felt like I needed to get a practical degree, so I chose the most creative business major I could find – marketing. Then I met Thomas. My photo hobby became something more because he recognized my passion and encouraged me to make it a reality. He’s been my second shooter since the very first wedding.

I've been putting off writing this review because I feel like no words can fully explain the amazing experience I had with the Ganeys. I first met Emily and Thomas when I was a bridesmaid in my friends' wedding in Florida, which the Ganeys were shooting! Based on that day and the resulting photos, I knew how talented this pair was and I REALLY wanted them for my own wedding. After getting engaged, I actually reached out to Emily before we even had a venue or date booked. Once they signed on to be our wedding photographers, my (already high) expectations were totally exceeded. I loved how organized, detailed-oriented, and responsive Emily was as we planned our engagement shoot and wedding day. At the engagement shoot, they did an amazing job including our 2 golden retrievers and shooting in sub-optimal weather conditions. Emily is so kind, thoughtful, and talented as a photographer, and Thomas is the secret ingredient that makes grooms everywhere feel at ease! This husband and wife team communicates so well and I believe that is part of the reason why they make their jobs look so effortless and fun on your wedding day and why the photos are so breathtaking. We can't wait to host Emily and Thomas at our house in a few weeks, and show off the way we've displayed their photos around the house!! We had the absolute best experience hosting our wedding here. Natasha Norman was incredible to work with through the entire planning process. She was clear on pricing, set our expectations well, was incredibly responsive, and helped coordinate the event on the day of the wedding. We asked for some extra time to set up the room and, since the room hadn't been booked the day before the event, she let us come in the day prior to get everything in order. Natasha spoke with our DJ and coordinated for his set-up, which was very helpful. The team setting up the event also did the perfect job of setting up the tables and outdoor chairs exactly as we'd asked. I changed my mind on the arch at the last minute, and they had no problem making the change. The wedding was incredible, our guests felt comfortable in their rooms and were pleased they could bring their dogs so they didn't have to hire a dog-sitter. Everyone was impressed by the view and by the fact that the sun was setting behind the sweetheart table in the Bayview Ballroom. I also want to give a shoutout to the banquet manager who made us feel at home, kindly brought us beverages as we were setting up, and took care of us throughout the stay. I’ve received at least half a dozen compliments on the qualify of the food served, and I felt the pricing was very reasonable – especially when compared to other hotels on the water nearby. I also loved that the hotel provided us a contingency plan if we needed to move our outdoor wedding to the indoors because of rain or anything else. We truly felt special and valued and would use this venue again in a heartbeat.

I'm a Bay Area native born and raised with a small stint in NY but I'm back, however continually on the move! I was raised by a single parent with my two sisters so family means absolutely everything thing to me. They are literally my biggest supporters and ultimate hype crew.

Torez's services are so much more than simply taking photos. She takes the time to get to know your story as a couple and your overall vision for your wedding She also maintained steady communication over the 8 month process with an initial zoom meeting followed by questionnaires and resources to assist with the planning process. It was so helpful to have the online guide as a foundation for our DIY wedding. Closer to the wedding she worked behind the scenes with our wedding coordinator to make everything flow seamlessly. On the day of, she brought her sister to assist with capturing behind-the-scenes footage and they both had the best energy! I felt very relaxed with them the whole day. All of our photos felt perfectly posed with very little fuss over or too much effort! Reflecting on the photos, I'm really impressed with all the candid moments she captured as we adventured around the city. Overall, Torez is a professional down to earth person who is genuinely excited to capture your love. I'm so glad we trusted her with being part of our special day!!

Right after graduating from CSU Sacramento in 2012 (with a BA in Photography, might I add!), I did photography as a side-hustle while working a couple of various jobs: part-time as a Summer camp counselor and full-time at a medical device company. After getting married in 2016, I moved to Modesto with my husband since he was working there at the time. Because of the move, I had to leave my jobs in the East Bay. I took this move to the Central Valley as a sign that I should do photography full-time. So, since 2017, I've been a full-time wedding photographer. We are now in beautiful Sonoma County!

Oh geez, I don't know where to start with how much I loved working with Diane! We originally worked with her for our engagement shoot, and from the beginning she was responsive and all of her communication was detailed and transparent. She put so much time into getting to know my partner and I so that she could capture us in a genuine manner, and also so that she could help us feel as comfortable as possible taking photos (it was our first time taking photos professionally, and neither of us is super comfortable in front of a camera). Taking the photos was so much fun, and her final product captured that so incredibly well. We were OBSESSED with the photos. Her Instagram really captured her skill and artistry because we saw them in our final products, too. Working with her for our wedding was such a clear choice! In the process of preparing for the wedding, she again collected so many details from us to make sure she understood what kinds of photos we wanted, and her timeline for the day ran perfectly! We got every shot we wanted, and she checked in along the way to also get any photos we hadn't thought about leading up to the wedding. She is an absolute PRO!!! Not only that, but she brought so much joy, light, and fun to the day. Our guests loved her too!! I heard so much from them after the fact about how they felt like she was somehow everywhere all at once, not a moment to be missed!! The wedding JUST happened, and we already have LOTS of sneak peeks that look incredible. We absolutely loved working with Diane, and seriously cannot recommend her more highly. She is an absolute joy and gem, and we will absolutely be working with her in the future for any special occasions we want help capturing. THANK YOU DIANE!!

I would 100% recommend them. Here's why: Communication: Jen and Brian work so well as a team. They're both always so quick to respond. They're thorough, friendly, helpful, kind, funny, and efficient. They presented very clear written communication and made themselves available. Price: What really got me was the fact that I could give the password to our album to anyone and there were unlimited downloads. Plus, the engagement shoot and the wedding were bundled together. Last, broke down what they're charging for in the invoice. Organization/tips: Jen is so well organized and Brian knows just how to support her to maximize that organization. Since I was planning this wedding with no wedding planner, their expertise, tips, and organization skills were very much appreciated. When I asked for advice outside of photography, they were very careful not to persuade my decision to what they thought I should do, but gave very insightful tips to make my own, informed decisions. They helped me create a very clear timeline (for photography) that I used for the entire wedding and went over during the rehearsal dinner. They told our officiant (who was my cousin) to be sure to move away before he tells us to kiss. Since my wedding, I've noticed some officiants are not told this. Equipment: They come VERY well prepared. First of all, they were coming from Northern California. We live in Los Angeles/Orange County area. So they came down twice for our engagement shoot and for the wedding. During the engagement shoot, they had tons of great lighting equipment to do cool shots like the one under the bridge. They scoped out the sun patterns of both sites the day before to be sure they got the best lighting. They encouraged me to bring multiple outfits for the engagement shoot and brought a pop up tent so I could change in the middle of a park. They also has a speaker system we were able to use at the wedding Pictures: My husband and I are both very camera shy. Neither of us have taken pictures with professional photographers before and even my husband said, they made us feel really at ease and he could not imagine getting photographed by anyone else. They took a LOT of pictures. They got everything from details to people. They used their own creative ideas, and also asked for our input. The ONLY thing I have to say that's negative is there are a couple shots where some of the people in the photos are off center or not close enough to the rest of the group and one shot where my husband is doing something awkward in with his hands. Other than that, I really really love their editing style and how they got a good mixture of candids and posed pictures. Video: I especially love how in our ceremony video it caught my cousin saying something funny so my husband wouldn't cry when I was walking down the aisle. I love that they added clips of the speeches, but wished they got my cousin (maid of honor)'s speech in there as well. As far as the rest of the video, everyone that watched it said it was AMAZING! They got great camera angles of the ceremony, my husband appreciated that they took the videos quickly as we were doing the pictures, and they really captured as much as they could. Overall, Jen and Brian: - work very well as a team - take beautiful pictures and edit them well - give great tips without overstepping - are friendly, warm, and fun to work with - give you a lot for what you're paying - are very communicative - go the extra mile
