FIREHOUSE HISTORY OLD ENGINE HOUSE No. 35 The Fiirehouse was built in 1927 and was active until 1998. One of five bungalow style firehouse in Wisconsin (so truly one of a kind!) This firehouse was considered "Old Engine House No. 35 & Ladder Co. 16" and now named Story Hill FireHouse. Historic "bungalow style" firehouse was purchased in December 2018 by Janelle Meyer-Brown, owner/planner of evenement planning. Janelle brought new life to the Firehouse by opening walls and adding some modern touches to compliment the historic elements. She has designed the building to be a unique event venue option that will make your event ONE OF A KIND! Oh So Charming... walk into this amazing firehouse and it's classic touches! original wood trim throughout, terrazzo floors, original wood lockers, 13 foot ceilings. Upper East, on the second floor of the former Barden's building, is an urban space with expansive windows highlighting views of its historic Downtown Kenosha location. A first floor bridal suite offers a beautiful space to have hair and makeup done on-site, with a lounge area and private restroom. An original staircase and tin ceilings on the second floor hint back to the history of the industrial space. Upper East can accommodate up to 300 guests. The District is located in the historic memorial hall in downtown Richmond, IL. With is soaring wood ceiling and original brick walls, The District, built in 1907, combines classic American architecture with modern touches. A covered outdoor patio and private alley provide an outdoor oasis for a cocktail hour, small ceremony, or extension of the party.

The banquet hall is a versatile venue perfect for weddings, accommodating up to 250 guests. With two event spaces, the hall features a private bar, bathrooms, separate entrances/exits, and both indoor and outdoor event options. Ethereal Confections is more than just a chocolate company. At Ethereal, we know just what you’re looking for in a wedding venue, and our staff is dedicated to making your special day perfect. We now have two location offerings! The Loft at Ethereal is our original venue with exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and large windows. Your guests will be greeted with the aroma of chocolate as soon as they walk in. It has an ideal capacity of up to 80 guests (100 max). The Courthouse Square (opening September 2023), great for weddings of 100-120 guests (150 max, depending on floor plan) and is a show stopper with it’s historic architecture and modern finishes. With amenities such as a large wedding suite with lots of natural light and a separate ceremony room option, the space has been renovated with you in mind. The Courthouse Square also has an add-on option of the old Sheriff’s House, complete with original Jail Cells, it’s definitely the ultimate photo op.
