“We have been coming to the Wayside Inn for years as guests and it was the perfect place for our wedding guests to stay and to host our welcome dinner! Sarah and her team went above and beyond to make everything so special from a creating a weekend itinerary for guests, decorating the Inn with personalized photos of us submitted by our friends & family, and champagne and strawberries waiting in our room after the reception. Sarah & Mariah took so much care with the planning process to make sure every detail was right and what we wanted. Our guests keep telling us how much they loved the Inn and it is the perfect place for any couple looking to get married in a cozy and intimate location in the mountains!”

Once you step foot on our property, the beauty of our surrounds coupled with the rich history of the grounds is hard to escape. We have a swimming dock and floating jump pad by our lakeside beach, kayaks, paddle boards, and other water toys to check out and enjoy, miles of trails around the lake and from the property, volleyball sand courts, tennis courts, open fields for lawn games, a streamside wood fired hot tub, bonfires, and so much more. “From the first time we met with the team at Ogontz Rustic Resort, we were impressed by their timely, genuine, and knowledgeable communication. They took amazing care of us and all our guests, from the 3-month-old babies to my 91-year-old Grandpa, ensuring our wedding day was truly incredible and a family affair. It was incredibly important to us to have all of family and friends in one spot for the weekend. We had guests from all around the globe, and everyone agreed there was no where like it. I highly recommend the firework send off at the end of the reception. It’s a wonderful show. The Ogontz team went above and beyond. We are so grateful. Not only is the venue and the grounds amazingly stunning. The food was on point. Every meal was taken care of and no one complained. (When does that happen??) It's been over a month, and our guests are still raving that it was the best wedding they've ever attended. “I’m so happy we chose the Loon Lodge Inn to host our wedding. The food was spectacular, the tent was beautiful, and the lake views were amazing. But the real stars of the show were the hospitality and service from Kim and other staff members at the Loon Lodge. They went above and beyond the entire weekend. Everyone at our wedding sung the praises of the staff including their hard work, friendly demeanors, and their creativity to fix things when unexpected things happened. For example, when the florist’s arbor fell over and broke, the florist attempted to hold it together using ribbons and flowers that looked awful. Kim immediately fixed it using fishing line and it ended up looking beautiful as the fishing line wasn’t even noticeable and especially won’t be seen in pictures. Kim also tried extremely hard to have the ceremony outside despite forecasts of rain. Having the ceremony outside was the one thing I really wanted to happen that weekend. Kim was constantly checking the forecast that day and saw that there would be a window of opportunity without rain and at the last minute made an outside ceremony happen. Additionally, I didn’t realize that we never assigned someone to be in charge of the cake-cutting. Kim saw it was not being cut and went out of her way to cut everyone a slice of cake. There were many moments like this and I’m sure way more that happened behind the scenes that we weren’t privy to. The bartenders and other staff members, especially the chef, also did a fantastic job. Choosing the Loon Lodge Inn for our venue was the best decision I made regarding wedding planning. My now husband and I plan to return here for an anniversary trip one day. Thanks to the Loon Lodge Inn and Kim for a weekend that we will always remember and think fondly of!”

“The whole team was extremely supportive and so excited to make our day perfect. We held our reception at the Tavern and the team worked with us to create the perfect winter wedding theme. The guests had a great time and really enjoyed the venue. One of my favorite things the team worked with me on was to create a late night s’mores bar out by the fire pits. Besides just holding the reception we also had our rehearsal dinner with them where they were able to work easily with all of our dietary restrictions. The majority of the wedding guests stayed at the inn and the team was super supportive of making sure the guests were able to make the most of their time area. It was truly a dream to work with them and I’d do it all over again.”
