I’m Tara Barbera-Brown, owner of the Sugar Stylist! I have been working in the hospitality business since I was 18 years old and have always loved sweets, whether it be baking for my family and friends, creating a candy bar for a special event or just sharing my secret stash of fun dip with my nieces and nephews at various family events. I recently turned my love for all things sugar into a business of my own and I am so grateful for all of the support we have received so far. A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Nikisha Williams found her calling to cuisine at a very young age. In the Caribbean, it was commonplace to share large meals with family and friends made from ingredients picked outside your door and seasonal harvest feasts were shared with the entire community. Nikisha learned quickly that good, nourishing food was a blessing meant to be celebrated and she developed a passion for celebrating it.

Bovella’s Pastry Shoppe, a staple of the Westfield NJ community, has maintained a standard of excellence in culinary artistry for over 60 years. Bovella’s, long considered one of the premiere bakeries in the Tri-State area, has flourished behind an outstanding crew of chefs, bakers, and personnel. Ralph Bencivenga, owner and operator, was a Westfield High School student when he began his tenure at the bakery for founder Michael Bove. Bovella’s is no longer simply a bakery. It is now a destination… a place to sit and enjoy a coffee, espresso, or dessert after an evening at one of Westfield’s 100+ eateries.

Stuff by SJ launched as a virtual bakeshop making custom cakes, baked goods & chocolate treats using social media as the primary conduit to interact with our customers. Because of the overwhelming support of our community and high demand for our goods, we were able to grow & open our first brick & mortar location in 2022. Our highest priority is that your desserts taste just as wonderful as they look, using the highest quality ingredients. I decided to take my passion for baking to the next level by creating my own baking business. Turning my passion into a full time business has been such a blessing for me and I am loving every part of it.
