After ten years capturing weddings, the Bride Film mission remains the same. Chris Serio started Bride Film in 2008...after meeting MaryClare in 2010, they joined forces to begin making the company what it is today. In November 2014, they found out what it is like to be on the other side of the cameras. They are the owners of Bride Film and spend most days editing, filming, or hanging out with their adorable son, Frankie and sweet puppy son, Bacchus.

(2600 sq. ft.) 1st floor space which includes 3 separate entrances, 3 bathrooms, a huge "Interview With A Vampire"-inspired red and black Ballroom (45x19 ft /850 sq ft) with stage (19x9ft), baby grand piano, guitars, mics/PA, DJ booth, all leading into an open service space (665 sq ft) with antique bar, large kitchen/dining area, a cozy bedroom/dressing room/coatroom, connecting to our screened-in Nouveau Patio (300 sq ft) and lovely private backyard (400 sq ft). Upstairs a 2nd Kitchen/Dining Room and 4th bathroom is available for negotiable charge. We can recommend outside catering, table/chair rentals, higher-end sound system rental (we have a very simple PA and seating for about 70 throughout the 1st floor and garden). Though we don't produce events we can also suggest staff, DJ, and performers. Due to the age of the house we can't provide ADA accessibility for entry or bathrooms.

The NOCCA Foundation is the nonprofit that supports the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, which is Louisiana's arts conservatory for high school students. Our venues are located in one of New Orleans' oldest neighborhoods, the Faubourg Marigny, just upriver from the Bywater. Our buildings date from the early 1800s and have been beautifully restored with modern amenities. Funds from rentals help support a range of programs for students, faculty, and the community, including an Artists-in-Residence program that brings up to 100 visiting artists into NOCCA's classrooms each year; professional development funds for NOCCA faculty; and a series of concerts, gallery exhibitions, readings, and classes for the community.

I remember looking back at my parents’ wedding album—seeing them young and in love, my grandparents there, everyone in celebration over two families coming together.
