We are a Smithsonian Affiliated Museum in downtown McKinney. Built in1900 and established in 1970. We have 54 years of service! We have the Art-O-Mat which is a vintage machine repurposed for collectible art hence the Art-O-Mat! People travel all over the world and to McKinney to add to their art collections! The Heard Craig Art Center & Museum has private parking in downtown McKinney with a private garden, gazebo, and Carriage House. The private garden & Carriage House venue space is available to rent and our main house Museum offers group tours, luncheons, bridal tea, baby showers, and more! Situated in the pine trees of Nacogdoches, Texas, our 1914 registered historic church was home to one of the oldest African American congregations in the state. Built by famed architect Diedrich Rulfs, Zion Hill Baptist Church is the embodiment of timeless Southern elegance and simplicity. The church has been restored over the years to its former glory and updated with modern heating and cooling systems, security systems, and handicap accessibility so that it may continue to be a pillar of the community through historical preservation and social engagement. The Kemp (1300 Lamar Street) was built in 1917 at the request of Flora Kemp who, when asked by her husband Joseph what she would like for her birthday, suggested a public library. The library opened its doors in 1918 with a donation of 4000 books provided by the community. In 1998, the City of Wichita Falls leased the then-defunct historic building to the Arts Council, which began an extensive renovation project to restore the building. The result was The Kemp Center for the Arts, which opened it’s doors in 2002.

River Legacy Living Science Center is both a beautiful and unique setting for a celebration, whether indoors or outdoors. With a commitment to sustainable design, River Legacy Living Science Center is a masterpiece of architecture. Our rentals are available as a full-facility package. We have a nightly rental cost of $2500 on Fridays and Saturdays and that includes the use of the Atrium, Discovery Room exhibit hall, Riparian viewing room, and Outside Terrace. That package includes access between 5 pm and 12 am (midnight). Event set up and break down must be included within the 5pm-12am window. Ask about Sunday economy rentals.

601 Spring Event Center is located in the historic George T. Bishop Building at the intersection of Spring and Milam streets in downtown Shreveport. Our venue — rich with history and tradition — provides the perfect setting for any meeting, reception, celebration or ceremony. The building was constructed in the early part of the 20th Century and has had several owners and usages. One of the more notable was George T. Bishop, a successful automobile dealer who purchased the property in 1925. Elegantly refurbished with spectacular coffered ceilings, hand-carved woodwork, inlaid earthenware tiles, bronze chandeliers and solid wood cathedral- style doors, the Bishop Building was impressively opulent for Shreveport. Ironically, decades later another illustrious occupant of the building was the Ark-La-Tex Antique and Classic Vehicle Museum after which the building in the late 20th Century became known locally as the ‘antique car museum.’

Our beautifully created piazza-style reception room is no exception.

Located at 2120 Speedway Avenue, The Forum is a truly elegant building that was built in the 1920’s with Mediterranean influences and the iconic front arches. It has over 11,000 square feet of event space and 6 distinct and interconnecting room options, as well as front and back outdoor courtyard spaces. You can have a private ceremony with only a few guests or a reception of up to 500, our spaces can be tailored to your day and we provide several pricing options that can be customized. Thanks to our recently renovated and upgraded partition walls there is endless versatility for you to make it your own. The Forum can give you the perfect bride and groom suite’s as well as ceremony and reception space all in our location.
