“Martha was amazing!!!! We were blown away with Martha's capability in design, flavor and originality. She was very exciting and collaborative in developing the flavors we envisioned for our wedding day. As an Asian American, there is a void in Asian flavors in cakes/designs in the area of Maine/New Hampshire that we are in. She not only is excited about Asian flavor profiles but has training and experiences with this. She not only created a custom cake flavor (Honey Ginger Cake) but custom dessert bar as well (Adzuki hamentaschen, Matcha cupcake with strawberry compote and adzuki vegan buttercream, and Black Sesame-Dark Chocolate Mochi). The desserts and cake were absolutely delicious and everyone raved about the variety and expertise of the desserts. We definitely heard people say that our cake was the best cake they have ever had at a wedding. Not only did she make original recipes for our wedding, but also complied with the number of dietary restrictions that were needed for our wedding day (dairy free).
Her cake design and attention to detail was amazing. She made a ton of little easter eggs of our favorite characters and symbols that were important to us.
We have been so pleased and would use her again for any specialty desserts we may need for an event or just for ourselves. We cannot wait for our anniversary cake.
She is so worth it. There were times she was busy that she warned us about that would make it hard to communicate with her. We understood and trusted her plan and process and couldn't have been happier with everything. Martha brings a ton of great energy to the process of wedding dessert planning.
We strongly recommend her and for any Asians looking for an Asian styled/flavored cake, I would recommend Hanami Cake and as the greatest compliment from an Asian her desserts were 'Not Too Sweet."
