In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

We had our wedding at Green Acres on 10/7/23 and it was the best day ever! Green Acres is so beautiful and there are so many little details that make everything so wonderful. Many of our guests commented on how amazing our venue was and we are just so happy we picked it. Brooke was such a great helper in planning everything and helping the day run smoothly! We got married outside in the trees were they hold the ceremonies and during our ceremony a bunch of turkeys were in the field close by. Must be good luck on a wedding day!

I was, well, not exactly excited about the entire wedding planning process. It's just not really my thing. So when I found out that the Graduate Minneapolis (a hotel my family and I have stayed at many times over the years) did wedding packages, I was thrilled. I knew that I wanted to book a venue that would let us do both the ceremony and reception in the same space. What you get depends on which package you choose, but catering, flatware, linens, tables, chairs, alcohol, servers, bartenders, and honestly some things I'm forgetting about are all included and at a surprisingly reasonable price. And Michael, the catering and events director, could not be more lovely to work with. He far exceeded our expectations and made every step go smoothly. It's just an added perk that your guests can also stay at the venue.

We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at Watson Block. We received so many compliments from guests on how beautiful our venue was! Watson Block is such an elegant and unique space. We toured many other venues and nothing stood out like Watson Block does. Watson Block made our day feel so special. It is also a great price! It was the perfect size for our guest list of around 90 people. There was plenty of space to mingle and dance. Gaby was amazing to work with and everything went so smooth on the day of! I would recommend Watson Block to everyone.

The Grands team was wonderful to work with! Mel was SO patient with my many many questions over the year before our wedding. We had our reception there and it was wonderful. Everything went seamless. Larry did a wonderful job curating all of the entertainment while DJ Blakk absolutely killed it with his amazing energy, keeping us on time (along with the Grands staff), as well as keeping the party going while we ran around trying to talk to everyone who came to our wedding! The Grands is affordable and includes all of the extra little things that you might have to outsource if you were to choose a different venue which we really appreciated. Thank you Grands for having us and making our wedding night unforgettable!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception on 7/21/23 and it was wonderful. Kailyn (the Events Coordinator) was professional, efficient, and friendly. She was quick to answer my emails and respond to my questions with helpful suggestions. We used the on-site catering (Three One Six) and Wendy the manager was great to work with as well. She was flexible and also quick to reply to my emails. The catering staff and bartenders ensured the reception went smoothly. I highly recommend this venue for its quality staff, fair price, and beautiful location & space.

Choosing the Gardens of Castle Rock for our venue was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process; Kris and Heidi were very communicative and accommodating to requests and questions throughout the whole process; from our first tour to the wedding day itself. We had really been looking for a location that merged my style and my husband's and the variety of ceremony locations and natural picturesque locations was a major plus. we also wanted flexibility in who we brought in for the rest of our vendors - not only were we not restricted in our choice in caterer/florists/decor etc but the Gardens also provided a list of tried and tested vendors that knew the location. We felt fully supported during our vendor journey without feeling pressured to pick from a restricted list. We did end up using many vendors from the recommended list because they matched our style and our price point. While we did have a full-service planner to help us during our planning process I would still highly recommend the Gardens to anyone whos planning their wedding on their own. I was also the first wedding they hosted for 2023; during the 2022 winter storm the lathe house had decided it needed a break a took a tumble - the team alerted us right away as we wanted that for our ceremony and in no time they had the lathe house fixed and ready for us to use on our day. They also helped us navigate and plan for potential rain, which thankfully we didn't have to use, but it was such a comfort to know that rain or shine my wedding was going to go off without a hitch. I can't thank the Gardens of Castle Rock enough for ensuring my perfect day and I wholeheartedly recommend them! As a bonus, we had a few opportunities to speak with the owner, Glenn, and we'll be purchasing a wood slab my Husband will turn into a coffee table so we can commemorate the day - that way we'll always have a little piece of the Garden's with us.

I just have to say…my husband and I were very blessed to have the most magical wedding and it was mainly because of Marlys and Kurt, owners of Adler Ranch. I have seen so many reviews of “I wish our wedding venue would have told us (fill in the blank here)before we booked” there was none of that with Adler Ranch. They were very up front with what we could and couldn’t expect. Honestly Marlys goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best day. Now let’s talk about the venue. We seriously still have guests saying that was the most memorable wedding they have ever been too because the venue is so unique and one of a kind! I was so worried about not having a Photo Booth at my wedding and even my wedding planner told me “seriously I know it’s my job to upsell you on this but you don’t need it with all the natural backdrops at Adler Ranch” I seriously miss my wedding planning because it was so fun to work with Marlys and Adler Ranch. I 100% recommend having your wedding or event here you will not regret it!

My husband and I recently used Summit Manor Reception House for our wedding reception. It was wonderful!!! The staff was friendly, helpful and professional! They did a great job keeping the events of the night flowing and moving along and we didn't have to worry about a thing! Also, the food was delicious and they had a great variety of menus to choose from. Most of all, the owner, David, was SO accommodating, flexible and helpful!!! We had several special requests and he helped us with every one of them. Also, he was very helpful in planning the entire evening and helping our vision of the evening come true!! This is a beautiful place to have a wedding reception or any special occasion. It was perfect because people could be and do whatever they wanted throughout the evening. They could be outside or on the front porch talking and enjoying the beautiful weather, in the main room dancing, upstairs playing games or downstairs at the bar enjoying a drink! Absolutely EVERYONE enjoyed themselves!! Also, the cost is VERY affordable! There are several perks like they don't charge you to cut and serve the cake, you can bring in your own alcohol and they provide all the center pieces. Plus, you don't need to decorate because it is already such a beautiful setting. I would HIGHLY recommend using Summit Manor reception house!
