Throughout the years I’ve documented intimate elopement ceremonies and weddings with over 250 guests. As an artist I crave a real connection with my couples. I look for couples who are truly in love and are willing to put their trust in my vision. My photographs are often described as warm, natural, romantic, and timeless. My passion for photography and weddings began when I was very young. I staged Barbie weddings, making their dresses from Kleenex, then snuck Mom’s camera to take pictures of them. I moved on to dressing up my little sister in a pillowcase veil, again sneaking Mom’s camera. When she got tired of me using up all her film, she brought home several Bride magazines from the free pile at the library and I spent hours reading them, then pinning pages of beautiful wedding dresses on the ceiling of my bedroom. I like backpacking on the North Shore, dreaming up my next travel plans, and picking up a good book before I have time to finish the last one. I have two dogs that know all the commands but do whatever they want to on a regular basis, and they are my couch buddies for nights when I settle in with a glass of wine and an episode of Friends! I’m a foster parent and I’ve been riding that rollercoaster since December of 2020. My life is never boring and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I grew up in a very small town called Colesburg, Iowa. I currently live in Dubuque again, but this time I live with my own family! My husband and I have quite the full house! A know-it-all 18 year old, a laid-back but sassy 12 year old, and a 6 year old who one day thinks he's a dinosaur and the next a Ninja Turtle. Oh, and not to mention we also have five cats, a Siamese (Owen) and a black cat (Daisy), and a Tabby cat (Astro), an orange tabby (Blaze), and another black cat (Spooky).

We met working the concession stand at the movie theatre, and from then on everything in our story felt like fate.
