Battlefield Bed and Breakfast is the dream venue for any couple looking for a historical property in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Civil War-era barn and farmhouse sit on the Gettysburg Battlefield and allow for indoor or outdoor ceremonies and receptions. The 1820’s Civil War Barn accommodates up to 140 guests and houses a dressing room. It is most comfortable May-November, as the weather affects the temperature in the barn. There are several lawns and gardens for beautiful outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours. The Solarium, which is available year round, features natural sunlight, a dramatic historic fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and chandeliers. The Donaldson Brown Riverfront Event Center is a stately setting for an up-scale wedding experience whose tone is evident upon arrival. Located 200 feet atop Mount Ararat, the estate overlooks the Susquehanna River. The manor’s rooms feature original fixtures such as its spiral stairways, arched doorways, antique chandeliers, and subtle wall moldings for an effect of refined elegance. Its manicured lawn looks out over the deep waters of the Susquehanna River providing a stunning backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. Couples can celebrate in the lap of luxury, with overnight accommodations in 17 exquisitely decorated rooms. This stunning manor has presided over the Susquehanna River since 1939. Plan the perfect country wedding at Fairwinds Farm in an intimate, shaded outdoor setting! Pass through the arbor where we will pick up the bride in her choice of three wedding carriages and transport her to the wedding site. After the ceremony, bride and groom are seated in the carriage where guests greet them on their way to the reception area. Our outdoor ceremony site overlooks a horse pasture under the trees where your guests are seated comfortably. Rain? No problem!
