Meyer's Castle is a world class historic landmark set on a hill surrounded by beautiful manicured rolling gardens. The wonderful blend of polished elegance in a natural setting offers an exciting scenic departure from ordinary alternatives. Located only 35 minutes away from downtown Chicago, the estate's smallest room can host a minimum of 30 guests, while the largest ballroom can accommodate up to 350.

We are located in Southern Edgar County out in the country on a pond. We opened in August of 2010 and produce and bottle our own wine. Our banquet hall is 40x60. area. We have a stone fireplace on the South wall and a stone bar. The rest of the room is open. There is a separate door that enters the banquet hall from the outside, and an exit door to the wine garden outside. If you rent our banquet hall, we will supply you with tables & chairs. The tables will have white tablecloths. We do have a beer & liquor license, but this is for special events only and needs to be mentioned at the time of booking your event.

Our heartfelt desire is to provide an affordable and classic wedding venue that is limited only by your imagination. Every decision we have made has been to provide the best wedding experience for you. Our goal is to replace wedding stress with wedding joy. Your wedding day should be filled with love and family, not stress. We provide a large selection of quality decorations, many donated by previous brides to pay it forward. We like to believe the love transfers with them. You simply make an appointment with an experienced designer and a few months before your wedding, create your tablescape and choose your decor. The week of your wedding, we ask for those photos and everything will be readily available for you to begin creating your dream. Brides tell us it helps reduce day-of stress. We focused on every minute detail in building because those details add up to something beautiful. We would love to meet you and begin bringing your wedding vision to life!

First of all, congratulations!!! We are so glad you are interested in our event center! We are now open in the American National Bank Building, 302 Main Street. The 12,000 square foot area will easily seat 400 guests {300 on main level + 100 upstairs}; however, it is easy to make the space seem more quaint for smaller parties. We have a private parking lot in the back and the corner lot allows for ample street parking. Our elegant + industrial look is complete with a grand staircase, a "U" shaped balcony that overlooks the dance floor, a bank vault converted to a ready room, and an additional large suite/ready room with plenty of mirrors and plug-ins! The strategically placed lighting {most of which are on dimmers} will create the most perfect ambiance and decorating can be minimal!

The 1950's barn, nestled on the corner of a forty-acre farm on the Indiana/Illinois state line, has been renovated into an event venue that could comfortably seat over 350 people. Some highlights include a foyer that could be driven through, the ballroom boasting five chandeliers, heating/cooling, kitchenettes, changing rooms, restrooms, an outdoor pavilion, numerous outdoor ceremony locations, and grounds with mature trees.

We pride ourselves to be the “One Stop Shop” and will help you make every decision. We take care of setup and tear down, decorating, catering, floral arrangements, lighting, backdrops, and much more! Darrell Best & his wife Lisa are non-denominational ordained ministers — often referred to as licensed wedding officiants — offering affordable and convenient packages to complement and honor your special day. Darrell Best was an over-worked and underappreciated banker and his wife Lisa, a much-appreciated home daycare provider. They took a leap of faith by purchasing a 1942 American LaFrance firetruck to start a business to be called Red Hot Weddings.

Honorably named “Best Man” the mobile chapel is recognized as the world’s fastest wedding chapel by Guinness World Records. Our 1942 American La France mobile chapel is the result of a $100,000 conversion on the famed TV show Trick My Truck. It features stained glass windows, an altar, two wooden pews, and even an organ. It’s been covered by the biggest news and media outlets across the globe including World News with Charles Gibson. It’s also been featured in the LA Times, National Enquirer, and made a special trip to New York City for a photoshoot with international fashion designer Betsey Johnson! We can marry you on the road or parked at your chosen location with an unlimited guest list and then deliver you right to the reception! The ideas are limitless! The Best Man may only be scheduled for use in the Midwest from the first day of Spring to Halloween.
