When looking for an engagement and wedding photographer I wanted someone who was creative with their shoots, had a modern, yet timeless editing style, and was fun and flexible as we would be spending lots of time together! With Misha, I found exactly that!! For our engagement shoot, my husband and I had a vision to do our pictures with two of our favorite things: beer and redwood trees. Misha made our dreams come to a reality and was so helpful in finding a time when the lighting would work with both locations! And if wedding planning isn't already overwhelming enough, we had to cancel our big summer wedding due to COVID and switched to a backyard micro-wedding. Misha was extremely supportive and flexible the entire time! She helped me schedule our new mini wedding to a time that would work for lighting in my husband's parent's backyard, so we could get some killer golden hour shots! Side note: she also helped me get out makeup stains that ended up on my dress during our ceremony haha she can do it all! So thankful Misha was by our side during our engagement season and wedding ceremony! We cannot wait to work with her again for our (hopefully) 2021 wedding reception! :)

It's your friendly neighborhood photographers, Drew & Jackie, here. Celebrating 7 years married this year, we have had the pleasure of capturing weddings in and around the Monterey Bay and all sorts of events together for the same amount of time. We are excited to meet you and your better half, your family, and all of those that you care about the most! Send us a message!

Drew and his wife were an absolute pleasure to work with, making our entire experience stress-free and enjoyable from start to finish. Out of all the vendors we worked with, they stood out as the most professional, responsive, and accommodating. From our engagement session to the big day, they made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to truly be ourselves in front of the camera. Drew’s talent is unmatched. His attention to detail and ability to capture raw, authentic moments left us speechless. Just 72 hours after our wedding, he surprised us with sneak peeks of our photos, and we were absolutely blown away by how stunning they were. His work has far exceeded our expectations, and we can already tell the final collection will be nothing short of extraordinary. If you’re looking for a photographer who not only delivers breathtaking images but also makes the entire process seamless and enjoyable, Drew is the one. We couldn’t be more grateful for his work and are beyond excited to see the rest of the magic he captured on our wedding day. Highly recommend! Maria Villano Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,200
  • Serves Marina, CA

I've been photographing weddings for over ten years and I love it even more than when I started. I consider it an honor to be there for so many special moments in people's lives and find something unique and new with every wedding day. I am punctual, flexible, and attentive, helping to bring a calm and focused vibe to your wedding day.

My husband, Rob, and I have been married for a little over a month now and since then, we've reflected on everything from our Sonoma wedding -- all the parts we loved about, things we wish we could change, relatives we wished we didn't invite... but above all else, we are over the moon to have had the privilege of sharing our day with Maria. From our very first intro phone call, Maria was everything we were looking for in a photographer. She was friendly, direct, professional, and had an amazing sense of humor that made us feel comfortable immediately. She had wonderful way of sharing her ideas and thoughts without pushing a specific style or direction on to us that made us feel confident in our decisions. I recall during the conversation that she had been the only vendor to have asked Rob what he envisioned for our big day, what he wanted, how we met, and how he would describe our style. Though small, that really stood out to us and during the call, Rob and I looked at each other and with a collective 'yeah, let's do this' and booked her immediately. We never though an engagement session would be in the cards for us, but Maria took us out of our comfort zone and gave us a day in Point Reyes we will never forget. I look at our engagement photos basically on a weekly basis and think about how far Rob and I have come from that day, but to also remember what an awesome day that was getting to know Maria and feeling comfortable in front of her camera. If you're like me and feel like an engagement session is too extragravant or not a must-have, I urge you to reconsider. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know Maria, feeling good with our poses, learning our angles (trying to, at least), and honestly, is a really fun thing to do together amongst all the planning. As our wedding was in Sonoma in October, there was threats of power outages (thankfully, we were all clear) and Maria had texted me a few days prior to share encouragement and let me know it was all going to be okay. I was so moved by that and it meant so much to have her looking out for us. On the day of our wedding, Maria was everything and we could not imagine that day without her there. She made us both calm and grounded amidst the chaos and nerves of the day, never losing sight at how big of a moment this was and made us, our families, and friends all feel so beautiful. This woman, though, does not stop. Shortly after our wedding, Sonoma was once again under the threat of more power outages (insert expletive about PG&E here). As Maria lives near the area, her family had to evacuate. Before I could even reach out, she let me know that the evacuation would not delay her process and had all of our photos everything backed on to a hard drive. I mean! I can't even. Our photos came out stunning, from our pre-ceremony shots, to dancing photos and everything in between. Our pre-ceremony portrait session was honestly such a highlight from the day and I am so glad she suggested doing a first look (seriously, DO IT!) because the lighting was magic and it was a blessing to have the time to do it all before the reception began. These photos are memories we will cherish forever and ones I can't wait to show our future family (I'm not normally this sappy, but this is seriously how talented Maria is). Since the wedding, Rob and I have loved every minute looking back on it all but more than once we've asked - Can we hang out with Maria again? Thank you for everything :)

I’m Flora and I'm a California native who loves to travel and chase the light in Big Sur. I love to ski, snowboard, hike, kayak and explore new locations. Ben Ingram Visuals

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,250
  • Serves Marina, CA

The best way to describe my work is a mix of National Geographic and GQ/Vogue. I love to focus on the story telling aspect of wedding photography as I capture your day (think photo journalism meets fine art), but am always ready to jump in and pose you and your partner for those magazine style cover shots. Have you ever seen the movie Talladega Nights with Will Ferrell? There is a scene where he awkwardly holds his hands in front of the camera. Yea, that is pretty much all of us. Im there to keep those hands from looking awkward and making the two of you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera.

We have had the joy of working with Ben on several weddings and events. He is a responsive communicator and is so easy to work with. He keeps his couples focused on enjoying their day and captures each moment with ease. Plus, Ben is a pro when it comes to keeping the event on schedule and his work is absolutely amazing. We are always thrilled to recommend Ben Ingram Visuals!

HI! I am Anastasia (she/her), your Northern California elopement and wedding photographer and so much more. My passion for photography began when I was a child. It started as a hobby when I fell in love with photographing families and babies. Over the years I realized I adore documenting couples, in all stages of their relationships. I know they say we should specialize in one type of photography, but I am not sure I can ever do that. I love to create and I get bored with only doing one thing.

Anastasia was simply amazing to work with. She values her customers and she absolutely takes pride in her work. Anastasia was communicative with us from beginning to end and we valued Anastasia’s honest and knowledgable feedback about our venues (we ultimately dodged a bullet with our first selected venue). We were highly impressed that she provided us our sample gallery in record time! And we received our full gallery in the promised timeframe. We hope to do a couples session with her when we return the Monterey area!

Heather was lovely to work with. She had tons of ideas which made things way easier for me and less to worry about! She shot our engagement pictures on the east coast & our destination wedding in Spain. For the engagement shoot, it started to rain and turned for the worse! I figured the day was over and that was it, but Heather got creative, pulled out a fun umbrella and we had a great time!! The pictures are super fun and amazing to look back on now that we are married. The wedding pictures were just as fun-- Weddings are known to be high-stress but Heather was on top of things made life so much easier. She knew which pictures to take and when I would forget about certain group combinations with our families she would remember and get the shots! Not to mention she is just a super nice person so I felt comfortable making requests or asking for certain things. I also love the edits she did and really made the images stand out. I really can't recommend enough for every couple to book Seeking Venture for their wedding!

Sarah Rittenour Photography

I've never been much for tradition, so you can imagine weddings were never really my "thing" when I first picked up a camera. Luckily, I found that the wedding industry has been evolving away from the old cookie-cutter format and that is what keeps me doing what I do. My favorite weddings are the ones where you & your partner's personalities show throughout the day rather than getting lost in all the things you "have" to do. I love being part of a day filled with so much love & excitement and what I aim to do is find you in all of it. Because weddings aren't about fitting into a mold anymore - they're about you getting to celebrate your love.

In our search for a wedding photographer, Sarah's artistic style caught my eye right away. She offers a blended service of candid and semi-posed photographs which matched how we hoped to capture our wedding day moments. From our first phone call and in-person consultation, Sarah put us at ease. She helped organize our style preferences and 'must-capture' moments as we planned for the wedding. Her questionnaire helped bring focus in the planning phase and on the wedding day, we knew we were in good hands. I highly recommend Sarah's services, she has an eye for the little details you want to remember and she was discrete during the ceremony and reception while snapping candids (which I appreciated as someone who gets nervous in front of a camera!). We are so pleased with our photos and had a great time working together with Sarah.

Onawa Charbonneau Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Marina, CA

I have a visceral reaction every time I witness love and true connection. It’s the electric feeling you get when you’re part of something that’s happening in the present moment. Being able to document that truly brings me to life. I pair best with couples who seek a documentary style and give me their trust to capture their moments. Your wedding day is not a performance. It’s about you, your big love, real life, and your closest people. The quiet moments, the loud ones, and all the in between . I document just that, in a photojournalist meets editorial kind of way that tells the story of your unique love.

Onawa is absolutely amazing! She was lovely to work with and captured our wedding day better then we could have imagined. She is genuine and kind and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. I love her documentary style of photography and I can not recommend her enough!

Hiring Eivan’s for our wedding was a great decision! Our photographer Gregory I was professional and FUN! He kept us smiling throughout the day with his quirky personality! My fiancé does not care for photos so I’m happy we had someone working with us who could make him comfortable. He made sure to get multiple images even if it was just “one more”, it was never one more! We had actually hired a different photographer and we replaced him with this company. Worth the stress and money! If I had any tips for the company, it would be to have your photographers give a 30 minute warning before their contracted time is up. Weddings are so busy for the bride and groom, it is very easy to lose track of time. I think clients would appreciate a little heads up just so they can try and capture any photos they may have missed. Other than that, I have ZERO complaints. Such an amazing experience! 10/10 highly recommend :)

We want you to have stunning images and the best day of your life and we do everything in our power to deliver both.

I cannot recommend Drzazga Photo enough! When we first met Carly we knew right away she would be so easy to work with, make us feel at ease, and take some really incredible pictures- all of which she went above and beyond to make come true during both our engagement and wedding photos. Communication was always clear and quick, offering us recommendations for other vendors or photo locations, her and Kasey even came to our rehearsal just so they were prepared for the next day. Even a year and a half later I still look through our photos and find a new “favorite one” each time, they’re just that good! We also decided to add on their Videography service closer to our wedding and I’m so so glad we did that. There’s something really special about being able to really hear and see to remember the day. Kasey’s editing was fantastic, he created one of my favorite things to come out of our wedding. Drzazga is definitely the best and will only make your wedding better, easier, and less stressful!

Hi, I'm Sophia, a 27-year-old wedding photographer living between DC and San Francisco! Capturing love stories through my lens is not just a job but a profound joy that I cherish with every wedding I photograph. It's been six years and I've photographed close to 100 weddings which seems unreal! The photography gene runs in my family, my great-grandfather had his own photography studio in Panama and from there, knowledge of photography was passed down through the generations of my family to me. I believe in always having fun and prioritizing an stress-free lifestyle which translates into my photography style — vibrant, authentic, and joyful.

We are incredibly grateful Xenia was our engagement/wedding photographer and couldn't be happier with the results! The photos will speak to her technical talent; her professionalism and dedication to her craft are evident in every shot. It was so hard for me to only select 6 photos. What the images don't explicitly show is that Xenia was an absolute joy to work with. She is clear, transparent, and helpful in her communication. Her straightforward and friendly communication ensured we were always on the same page and felt supported throughout the process. While shooting, she is organized and efficient. We got every shot we hoped for and then some. Her enthusiasm and joy were infectious. She made these two awkward nerds feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. We cannot recommend Xenia enough! We will cherish the photos you took forever!
