Late to the Lake was an outstanding catering choice for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their team was attentive, kind, thoughtful, and insightful in helping us plan the perfect menu. The quality of their work was simply amazing - the food was artistry on a plate, with flavors that were both outstanding in taste and incredible value. Honestly, we would have happily paid more for such an unforgettable dining experience. On the day of the wedding, their staff were some of the nicest and most professional individuals we've ever met. They went above and beyond what any vendor would be expected to do, ensuring our special day ran flawlessly. We would highly recommend Late to the Lake for any catering or event needs - they truly made our wedding day so so special. Thank you!!!!

I’m Michelle, owner and creator of Chi-cuterie. For me, food is a way to express love, share stories, open hearts, and create community. My passion is to make sharing food fun, and most importantly, stress-free! My husband and I grew up in the South with family values deeply rooted in a love of family, food, and community – hospitality is at my core. And now, I am thrilled to bring my own unique spin to “the board” with Chi-cuterie. The finest local ingredients, artisan legacy boards, and the flavors of Chicago from our professionally certified kitchen to your event.

I was familiar with but hadn’t paid too much attention to charcuterie before I saw what Michelle at Chi-cuterie was doing. After creating boards and teaching others how to do the same, she launched an official business this year and is killing it. We worked together when I photographed her sample boards for her new website. I could not believe how beautiful, copious, fresh, and artistically creative her arrangements were. I saw charcuterie a whole new way. I also love how versatile they are, be it for a gift, a party spread, a giveaway, or a unique and fun appetizer offering. I have since noticed other variations on a theme but Michelle’s creations really stand out!

  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Maple Park, IL for additional fees

Welcome. Chef Jason started out in the kitchen at 15 years old as a dishwasher at Red Lobster washing dishes and baking. From there, he worked many cook’s lines until I earned my first chef position under Emeril Lagasse over ten years ago. He's went on to operating casino kitchens, private dining clubs. Since relocating from Atlanta, GA Jason has gained experience in kitchen consulting and new restaurant openings. After 25 years in the industry, He is now starting a new journey into the Private Chef sector. He refers to his style of cooking as Southern Creole cooking, where it’s much more than cooking…it’s about the overall experience.

Easy to communicate with very prompt and professional. Excellent work!
