“From our initial tour of the venue, we knew that Atlantis Banquets and Events was where we wanted to have our wedding. If you are looking for an incredibly unique experience, this is it: The venue overlooks the water so guests were able to watch the sunset over the water during cocktail hour, and then, everyone moved inside to the Long Island Aquarium where they were able to dance and dine amongst the fish tanks. The aquarium transformed that evening into what felt like an enchanting underwater forest. Atlantis has an in-house caterer, and the food was exquisite. We received comments from guests who are notoriously picky eaters, and they said this was the first wedding where they’ve been able to eat (and enjoy) the food! There was a huge team working the evening of our wedding, and they kept everything running smoothly. The staff were all incredibly professional and kind throughout the night. We worked with Joan and Bryan throughout the planning process, and they were absolutely wonderful. They were responsive, detailed, and helpful throughout the year as we planned and finalized event details. They also helped us coordinate our after party AND our hotel block (both within a few steps of the venue). I truly think Atlantis Banquets and Events, and the Long Island Aquarium, is a hidden gem of event venues on Long Island. The location is stunning and conveniently located in downtown Riverhead, the venue is so unique and beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is wonderful.
