“We found Lulan Studios about nine months before our wedding day. We were immediately drawn in by their professionalism and their reputation. Lulan is an inclusive photographer who was very receptive to our wedding vision. He and his team were incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful all throughout the process. We elected to go with Lulan Wang himself for our photographer who worked with an associate. After our initial consultation we were turned over to Shannon who was our go to contact for day to day clarifications and vendor contact until Lulan took over just before the wedding. Shannon was immensely resourceful and responsive. She communicated with our coordinator very efficiently and was always on top of our booking. We are very grateful to her as well for making the process so easy and for continuing that communication after the fact. On the day, Lulan and his associate were spectacular. It was clear his associate had more than enough talent for the job just like Lulan, but they divided and concurred by using two different types of cameras for different types of shots. We regret not doing an engagement session with them, but we will likely return for an Anniversary session in the future. We didn’t even need one though, because he is skilled enough that he understood us as a couple immediately. They made us feel comfortable and confident. They hyped us up and moved through the shot list masterfully. Nothing was missed and we captured far more than we expected. Please look through our attached photos as they speak for themselves. One of the most exciting moments was when Lulan handed us a little blue book filled with about fifteen physically printed preview photos DURING THE RECEPTION. A lovely surprise that absolutely shocked me. Turnover was 4-6 weeks and we got ours just before the six week mark right on schedule. We were floored. They are jaw-dropping. We ultimately got 950 photos permanently digitally available for high resolution download and access to a shop with impressive options for prints and albums of a wide array of types and sizes. I’m thrilled to show them to you here and implore you to consider booking Lulan Studios. We trusted in their ability from the beginning and we were not disappointed. They are among if not the absolute best in the business.”

“We cannot even begin to thank cactus and lace enough for our beautiful day. In the midst of everything going on (ours was the last full wedding right on the cusp of the pandemic lock downs)it was an absolute oasis of love and calm! Everything absolutely blew our expectations out of the water!!! the florals, the setting, the cake!! it’s like they saw our vision better than we did! It was quite an odd experience planning a wedding via email from the other side of the world ( were based in the Uk) especially for such a control freak like me with such specific vision but they constantly anticipated our needs/ nerves and put them to rest! Not only did they execute our wedding more perfectly than we could have ever imagined but they were a real source of support and encouragement through all the ups and downs we faced! From start to finish working with the whole team was an absolute pleasure! I can’t possibly recommend cactus and laces services enough to other couples! I just wish we could do it all again!!”

A lot of her ideas were personalized for us, or set up to showcase the special details that I wanted to be emphasized (in my case, mainly our beautiful outdoor venue). It was really fun doing the posed photos, and the rest of the time, I trusted Alicia to capture the day! My favorites are our posed mushy couple photos, our individual all-dressed-up photos, and the moments from the dance floor. A lot of those favorites were also captured by Keith, the second shooter - he also has a great eye and a lot of fun, creative ideas. It's clear from the finished product (and knowing how many originals there were!) that Alicia put a ton of time and care into choosing the best shots and processing them beautifully. I absolutely treasure my wedding photos and would recommend Alicia 100%!”

He went above and beyond by scoping out the environment of each setting beforehand to familiarize himself as well as give me insight to any changes, which I loved. For example, I had a very specific place in mind for my wedding photos. He checked out the area days before and gave some pointers based off the location, such as recommended time of day to shoot. He also showed up to the location an hour before our agreed upon time and realized there was a wedding/reception taking place there and he quickly shifted gears to find a great spot nearby before I even headed his way! Nobody has that kind of initiative anymore! I was so pleased with his photos as well as his customer service that I booked him for a last minute maternity shoot later that year. Also - His pricing is much better than other photographers in the area.”

“We hired Heather to take photographs of our vow renewal for our tenth wedding anniversary. Heather was outstanding from the minute I contacted her. She was always available to answer questions, happily recommended other vendors and even picked up champagne, doughnuts and sparklers for our day. We are not the kind of people that like to be photographed so once the day drew closer we started to get slightly nervous but we didn’t need to be.
