Owner Shauna Hinchen-Joyal studied pastry arts at Johnson and Wales University and has worked in the baking industry for over 20 years, making specialty event and wedding cakes as well as her signature pastries. Shauna and her husband and partner Bob have been trained by an expert baristas at Atomic Coffee Roasters and are proud to serve drinks brewed with their beans. All our espresso drinks are made with our gorgeous Italian made La Marzocco machine.

At Cake Ann, we make cakes for special occasions or 'just because'. We love to make shower cakes, wedding cakes or special dessert menus customized for your event. We also offer breakfast pastries, quiches, daily flavors of cupcakes and specialty desserts like our highly sought after Kouign Amann (pronounced “Queen Amon”). My passion is creating 3D, Gravity Defying Designs, Realism and working with fresh flowers on blank slates of buttercream or fondant (Marshmallow) to create stunning one of a kind designs!

Petrova Chocolates was established in 2020 and since then we have been focusing on creating eye-catching, artisanal chocolate bonbons, truffles, chocolate bars and caramels with unique flavor combinations. We entered the world of sweets during the pandemic with a small box of chocolate-covered strawberries my sister and I ambitiously made for our mom for Mother's Day. That day sparked my passion for creating beautiful and tasty treats. My mom became my baker and together we created Titán's Treats named after my grandmother, Mamá Titán (tee•tahn).

CHIC is a culmination of my retail, styling, and design background. Truthfully, the idea of this little biz was created while on lockdown during the pandemic, a little unorthodox I know, but I was determined. I identified this gap in the market the summer prior... after struggling to find a pretty dessert cart for an event at my client's new business launch. Viola! CHIC cotton candy was born, serving the cosmopolitan Boston market; giving a traditional childhood treat-- a chic upgrade. Wherever the party is, we want to be there for you! xo
