From day 1, the staff at Boulder Ridge was wonderful. The venue was beautiful, but it was nothing compared to how easy the staff made the planning process. Our reception was in March, and the wind caused us to move the bar indoors. I greatly appreciated the flexibility and how the last minute change did not affect the evening. I highly recommend utilizing the approved vendors, we went with another Photo Booth vendor and we’re greatly disappointed. I was amazed how affordable t e evening was and I highly recommend Boulder Ridge!

This past year I got to photograph a wedding at Los Altos History Museum. I was excited to work here and it did not disappoint. Los Altos History Museum is a special venue. The first thing that captures your attention is the charming restored house and beautiful garden setting and amazing trees that surround the property. It’s a wedding photographers dream venue. The Staff did a awesome job at executing the couples vision and making their day seamless. A great venue to work with and from my perspective, a great venue to have your dream wedding at!

This beautiful, crescent-shaped flagstone space wraps around one entire side of the building and features a Zen-like border of Japanese maples, native plants and graceful oaks. Handcrafted ceramic urns are integrated throughout and serve as artful and calming water features. You can opt to exchange vows in front of those wooden entry doors, or take full advantage of the patio’s pièce de résistance and say “I do” beneath an asymmetrical canvas canopy. There’s ample room for al fresco cocktails on the patio before everyone moves into the Sequoia Room for dinner. This reception area feels quite spacious, with its cathedral ceiling, polished hardwood floors, and two walls of glass

Our wedding was held here. The venue had so much to recommend it and was perfect for the ceremony and cocktail hour in the the large patio areas, and dinner and dancing in the Sequoia Room. We had 100 guests, easily accommodated for a seated dinner leaving a roomy dance floor. The great convenience of having on-site ample parking, and easy accessibility was appreciated by our guests. The facility is well designed, modern, and all on one level. There are also some lovely spots for wedding photos taking advantage of the landscaping around the center. Another huge plus was the ability to use the caterer of our choice (Kitchenina) and other vendors. Working with the venue representative, Dashawn W., was a pleasure; she was so efficient, responsive, and helpful, from the day we first toured Arrillaga throughout the whole planning process. The Arrillaga Family Recreation Center was perfect for the wedding - a great venue for a wonderful day!

We held our wedding reception at Saratoga Springs in the Cathedral Grove region of the venue on a Saturday in October. After visiting them for a walkthrough, we booked this venue about a year and a few months in advance. This was the first venue we visited and we fell in love! We felt a great family-like vibe from the staff, starting with Jennifer who coordinated our initial booking and tour. Throughout our time preparing for this event, Olivia and Sam were extraordinary in their communication, response time, and knowledge of these events. They did a wonderful job in helping us understand what we needed vs. what we wanted and good decisions to make. They never tried to upsell us on more expensive options, always letting us know the best value for what we wanted. Throughout this process, we knew we had made the right choice in terms of staff. Scenically, Saratoga Springs is stunning! An outdoor venue with several different species of large trees like oaks and redwoods, many small creeks that run through and around the venue, and several amenities included such as lights that wrap around the trees, a firepit, and artificial turf that you can actually wear high heels on! We were in love with the scenery immediately because our reception was LOTR/Legend of Zelda themed and this was perfect for us. Throughout the actual event, the Saratoga Springs staff was excellent. They assisted us and our own day of wedding coordinators in running the event and making sure we had everything that they could provide. Our reception was during a brutal heat wave in the Bay Area, but Cathedral Grove had so many large trees that the shade they provided meant the floor never got hot and it felt more like 75 degrees which was SO essential for the comfort of ourselves and our guests. Everything was great, and we give the venue and their staff a 10/10. There was one glaring issue we want to address. The DJ we booked, Paul Dominguez, was a very nice man. He seemed to be on top of it, being in constant communication with us leading up to the event. We felt that he was going to do a great job. Yet, when it came time for the event, he made SEVERAL mistakes in what we asked him to do that we felt the need to address this situation and performance. He is part of the approved vendor list for DJs but we honestly feel Saratoga Springs needs to either reevaluate him or discuss this with him because literally everything else about the night was perfect for us, except him. Again, he is a nice guy and even provided cold sparklers for us for free which we really appreciated, but the lack of attention to detail in several aspects of this night was something we felt we needed to address here. Overall, Saratoga Springs is an excellent venue choice for a big event like a wedding/reception and we are happy to recommend anyone looking for a venue. We had an amazing experience for our reception and we are very satisfied with the staff and scenery of this venue.

The impressive dining room has floor to ceiling windows and glass French doors, and is surrounded by windows and beautiful spacious decks with a spectacular view of the golf course below and Santa Clara Valley in the distance.

We had a wonderful experience working with the Saratoga Country Club for our wedding. From the very beginning and throughout the whole process, the event planner Sherry was always quick to respond and helpful with answering all my questions. The Country Club recently repainted and re-carpeted their reception room, and it looks so good! They had an event earlier in the day before our wedding, so I was super worried they wouldn't be able to set everything up quickly enough, but they did an amazing job! I had a minute to see the reception room before the ceremony, and they had arranged and decorated everything exactly how I had specified. The day-of reception coordinator, Mara, was also wonderful. She was super attentive and helpful, even checking on our parents multiple times throughout the evening to make sure they were happy. Would definitely recommend this venue for a South Bay wedding!

We LOVED every single minute of our wedding at Camp Campbell. The space was gorgeous and perfect for our Camp Wedding. The staff could not have been more helpful and caring. If you are looking for a Camp wedding this place is true Magic. You have to be willing to plan, take initiative and DIY leading up the day of but it will be worth it. Our wedding was a bit out of the box with a Variety show as our rehearsal dinner. We used Camp Campbells beautiful stage and campfire area as the venue for the show. The camp staff made the fire for us and supplied s'more making materials, they even helped set up AV equipment we used for the show. On Saturday we had an earlier ceremony at 1pm so we as the couple could participate in the fun. We did everything from Axe throwing, archery and even some arts and crafts all organized by the Camp Campbell staff. The staff was so helpful throughout Saturday making the day stress free and perfect. On Sunday we had a soccer game on the back lawn followed by brunch in the lodge. It was a weekend to remember for us and our Guests. All of our guests who stayed in the cabins commented on how much they enjoyed the overall experience from the cabins, the food to the atmosphere. If you are looking to have fun all weekend long have a wedding at YMCA Camp Campbell!

Event planning services are also available by Hakone Estate and Gardens to help couples plan a day that they can remember for the rest of their lives. Although the venue does not provide catering or event rentals, We do have a list of trusted preferred vendors who have years of professional experience. The long list of preferred vendors & caterers that Hakone Estate and Gardens provides range from caterers and florists to entertainment and officiants. Each of our preferred vendors have worked with Hakone Estate and Gardens before and is familiar with the venue’s policies and regulations.

We had our wedding at Hakone in June 2023. We booked the venue early out (Sep 2021) and have had an extremely positive experience from planning up to our wedding day. The site: Beautiful space for what we needed (120 guests). Guests, including kids, loved experiencing the garden before and after the ceremony. There is a variety of areas/backdrops for photographer to take portraits. Amenities: Their "base" rental includes most essentials - tables, chairs, dance floor, and basic sound system. It is one of the few places we could find in the bay area that allows BYO alcohol which is typically more cost-efficient than an alcohol package from caterer. The only "con" is due to being in a residential area, dancing/loud music has to be wrapped up fairly early. Service: Although the venue does not technically come with a formal planner/coordinator, we felt taken care of by Tony and Melia every step of the way. After booking, they willingly allowed us to come back for 2-3 additional tours and answered our emails promptly. They even coordinated rehearsal and allowed us to drop off decor items/alcohol on the rehearsal day. We did not hire a planner/day-of coordinator (just had family friends help out) and yet we felt completely taken care of. On our wedding day, Melia ensured our ceremony started on time and directing the procession. She even stayed until the end of reception. Most of our vendors had worked at Hakone before which made the day even more seamless. After the wedding, we promptly received our deposit.

Brittani was an absolute dream wedding event coordinator and we are so grateful that she helped us through every moment. I'm sad that I don't get to plan anymore with her because the wedding is done - I had so much fun working with her! Our wedding had about 80 people and it was a beautiful July day with good weather. The venue has both indoor and outdoor seating options for the reception. There are a lot of different food drink options for the menu too. We had a delicious tasting session the food on the wedding day was so yummy too. We chose this venue because: 1. We love the half moon bay brewery 2. The view venue are beautiful 3. We loved Brittani and the staff the minute we first stepped on the grounds and had our first tour of the place! I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding and I'm so thankful we found Mavericks house. Thanks for making all our wedding dreams come true.

We found Hastings House by looking for venues that catered specifically to small weddings (20 people) and fell in love with the garden and seaside scenery. Linda was a pleasure to work with; she gave us great local recommendations for hair stylists/MUA, florals, officiants, and reception venues in addition to helping us work through the complicated details of our guest seating and staggered arrival times. The classical guitar music her husband played during the ceremony preparation really stepped up the already romantic air of the garden. We hired an external photographer since we wanted pictures of our reception as well, but Linda was so generous as to take a few stunning photos of our ceremony as a bonus. She also took the time to walk our photographer around the garden and offered advice for photo framing and staging. Linda and Richard were both very accommodating of our wedding vision and they played a huge part in making our special day every ounce of wonderful!

We had our wedding reception at Fogo de Chão, San Jose in 2022, and it was an incredible event! We were looking for a venue that was all inclusive: food, drinks, tables, chairs, etc. This definitely simplified the process for us. The planning process was smooth and very flexible with their events team as well. There are great food and drink packages to choose from, they are very flexible with table arrangements, and they are very transparent about pricing. There were a couple of event management personnel changes throughout our planning process, but on their end, they made sure to honor our previous arrangements. They also worked very well with our month-of coordinator we hired. Overall, I would definitely recommend a restaurant buyout for a wedding at Fogo! The atmosphere was cozy, the food was incredible, and the restaurant is beautiful and chic requiring no extra decor on our end. Our guests raved about the food afterwards, and told us it was the best wedding they had been to!

We also have 2 large bathrooms on main floor and on-site parking.

Jody and Dante were a fantastic pick to work with. Casa Dei Sogni was so much more than just a venue. The experience was incredibly memorable in their beautiful home overlooking the coastline and town of Montara. Jody was so knowledgeable we ended up asking her to be our event coordinator, which really took a lot of stress off of the whole situation so we could just focus on enjoying the event. Choosing Casa Dei Sogni was the best decision we made for our wedding celebration.

We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our wedding! The place was absolutely beautiful and had the perfect vibe we were going for. What really stood out, though, was how friendly and accommodating the staff were. They went above and beyond to make sure everything we dreamed of came to life. We got married at Sydalyn Hill in late June 2022. Our wedding and everything leading up to it was everything we could have hoped for and more. Gwyn was extremely organized and professional, providing helpful maps, templates, and timelines for our planning process and always willing to offer input/advice when needed. Her husband and two amazing daughters were also so welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful, and play a huge role in making Sydalyn Hill the special place that it is. The venue itself was absolutely our dream venue, with so much natural beauty that in our opinion you hardly need to worry about decor! As eco-conscious minimalists, we really appreciate the lengths that Gwyn and her family go through to reduce waste and avoid plastic, and we opted to use many of the decoration items owned by Sydalyn Hill instead of buying our own for the sake of the environment (and our wallets!). The result was the most rustic and magical wedding we could ever have imagined. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful spots around the grounds for photos like the garden, swing, and orchard, all the fun lawn games, and dancing/dining under the walnut tree chandeliers! We can't recommend Sydalyn Hill highly enough. Thank you so much to the entire Weisberg family for making our dream wedding come true!
